金记面家 – Kam Kei Noddles House

Lazy bugs are biting me so it’s only a simple update today :P

Kam Kei Noodles House 金记面家, which don’t have a proper shop & only doing business at the alleyway between a mamak & a bakery. Maybe you won’t bother to visit when you read my description like that but ……..

Look at the crowds & customers standing waiting for tables! O.O
Be prepared to share tables with others if you are in small group of 2 or 3 person.

Specialties in variety of noodles with many choices of snack to go with.

Pork balls, fish balls & fried item.

Claypot Lou Shu Fun
Come with pipping hot claypot. Portion was generous with plenty of minced meat & char siu. It’s quite different from the claypot lou shu fun that we normally had where this has more gravy.

Claypot Pan Mee
It’s still boiling when it was served! Laden bountifully with mushrooms, pork slices, wood ear fungus, fried anchovies & sayur manis.

猪肉丸 (RM 0.80 / pcs)
Literally translated as “gravy explosion pork ball”. It did exude some soup when we bite into the pork balls (similar with xiu long bao ^^) & the minced pork encasing inside was flavorful.

Verdict: A place I don’t mind to going back when I craving for noodle (any type from curry, clear soup & dry version)

PS: Please pardon my poor quality photos as it were taken via handphone
