J Tean Kitchen

Food guide of porky restaurant at Klang Valley:-

1) Kalamazoo

2) Andes BYO

3) Betty Midwest

4) Belly Good

5) Ribs by Vintry

6) Hungry Hog

7) Nambawan

8 ) Cristang

9) Kissaten

10) Ninja Joe

Quite a long list but the journey to hunt for more will never stop! You can definitely count on me! Here we come the 11th!

J Tean Kitchen, bring you the tasty and innovative porky dish!

Being my fist visit, I was impressed by the spick an span  interior. Adopted a elegant bright white theme with array of oriental-designed furniture, from a mix of antique opium beds, drum tables & stools and lantern-like hanging lamps. The glass wall on one side of the restaurant allowing plenty of natural light to flood in.

The drum tables~

I love the alfresco balcony with opium beds seating but the scorching weather…. Forget it :(

Citron Tea – Hot (RM 2.80+)

J-Pumpkin Soup (RM 4.90+)

The bowl was covered with a layer of puff pastry; teared open and enjoyed the hot creamy soup. Laden with enoki & shiitake mushroom which I thought was quite a weird combination and the soup was slightly too bland to my liking.

Braised Pork with Bun (RM 7.90+)

Scrumptious and tender braised pork and  shredded vegetables sandwiched between the soft & fluffy bun. A lovely starter~ Read my similar experience on this “Chinese Burger” HERE & HERE.

J-Pork Burger (RM 7.90+)

The house-made pork patty was firm and well-marinated with decent thickness. The price definitely a steal as the burger also serve with potato wedges.

Melaka Rainbow Dessert (RM 4.90+)

A soupy dessert of palm sugar, water chestnut and tiny sago pearls.

Although J Tean is well known for its fusion Bak Kut Teh but after read a few bloggers’ feed backs, I don’t bother to try because I still prefer my traditional Bak Kut Teh :P   But I will go back for their J-Porky Bun which received good comments and of course more pork burger!
