I Love Yum Cha @ Plaza Menjalara, Kepong
A new addition of dim sum eateries at Kepong area, I Love Yum Cha located at Plaza Menjalara is spacious, airy and well furnished with oriental themed marble tables and stools/chairs.
While the environment was top notch (air-conditioned too) and the service was fairly attentive too, how about the food? Please read on~
Sauces, small plates & cutlery placed on every tables 🙂
Jasmine Tea (RM 2.00+ / pax)
Yum cha, yum cha, how can we have our dim sum without the cha (Chinese tea), right?
Siew Mai (RM 4.80+)
Siew Mai definitely one of the benchmark to justify the performance of a dim sum restaurant. Their version was passed with flying colours, executed with good texture which was not too mushy and flavors was decent too.
Chicken Feet (RM3.80+)
Drenched in appetizing spicy, sweet and sour gravy, the chicken feet were braised till fall off the bone easily with one suck, you know what I mean if you are a chicken feet fan like me 😛
Shanghai Pot Sticker (RM 5.50+)
The pan fried guo tie/pot sticker (dumpling) was faired mediocre, they were pan seared nicely and adequately filled with savory minced pork.
Crispy Radish Cake (RM 4.80+)
The crispy outer made this radish cake tasted extremely moreish, good stuff!
Salted Egg Custard Bun (RM 5.50+)
The only let down during my yum cha session that time would be these lao sar bao 🙁 The usual oozing goodness was absent and what I got was slightly “solidified” salted egg yolk, imagine the disappointment~~
Verdict: Price range is a bit higher at this area but I don’t mind paying more for some good quality dim sum and a comfy dining environment.

I think they invite some bloggers to review their food 😛
Pity about the overcooked lao sar bao. It’s always a little heartbreaking when that happens, no?
Not as serious until heartbreaking lah, disappointed lor…. LOL
I love the lao sar bao ^^
But this was not on par, perhaps I should give them a second chance 😛
