Tokyo Shokudo @ Mid Valley Megamall
I vaguely remember we had lunch at Tokyo Shokudo after we visited an exhibition at MVEC a few months ago . *Don’t throw me rotten egg LOL*
The display of sampuru or fake food plastic models which really intrigued my curiosity to check out the offerings at Tokyo Shokudo.
The place is relatively quite spacious with a few types of seats for different groups of patrons.
Display rack filled with ceramic bowls which I wish to get some for my kitchen collection 😛
The feature wall with black & white city view mural.
Also adorning the wall are those red characters, I assume most of them are fish names 😛

Tonkotsu Ramen (RM 16.00++)
The ramen came with a pale looking broth which was rather unappetizing but luckily this was not my order, LOL (Refer THIS for a more convincing ramen) The flavor of the broth was expectably lack of creaminess and kick, definitely a run-of-the-mill ramen for me.
The texture of the ramen was average, not too soggy.
Some side dishes served along with the ramen.
Buta Kimuchi Set (RM 22.00++)
My option on the other hand was more attractive, yes?
Served pipping hot, my kimchi pot with alluring red sheen crowned with a raw egg. The flavor was decadent with generous amount of kimchi and pork slices. The pungent broth really hitting my palate with a spicy kick and I begun to perspire after a few sip.

Some sides came with the set, white rice, chawanmushi, salad and miso soup. The portion can simply shared by 2 small eaters.
Verdict: The quality of food not on stellar level and with so many choices at the mall we wouldn’t necessarily return any time soon.

All the food are so presentable, I bet they are very yummy!!
Food was average only, sad to tell you that 🙁
Somehow the side dishes looked meager in portion, but well, they are sides, right, LOL.
Overall was still quite fair, but I am trying to recall which restaurant this is; definitely on the top floor since you mentioned MVEC, and somehow, I have rarely gone to those restaurants around there 😛
