Bavarian Beergarden

Calling out all carnivore!  A post that will send you to cloud nine, it’s all about MEAT, MEAT & MEAT!

Bavarian Beergarden, opened its door on 16th March at Pearl International Hotel, along Old Klang Road (Jalan Klang Lama), a fairly new German restaurant that serve porky dishes and array of beers.

The al-fresco dining facing the busy Old Klang Road; the old school bicycles definitely steal the limelight!

The dim lights, dark tune furniture with contrasting red seats, comfy sofa and some ornaments placed here and there has created a rustic and casual dining ambiance.

Some of the black & white posters adorning the walls.

Bar with amazing collections of beers and liquors.

You name it they have it!

Hello gentleman =D

Enjoy your favourite sport matches here with your buddies accompany with beer and snacks, sound great right?

Are you ready for the feast? The porky feast to be precise!

Crispy Pork Crackling with Garlic Mayo (RM 15.00++)

Oven-baked pig’s skin, crunchy, crackling and not oily at all. Oh-so-sinful enjoyment!

Bavarian Pork Liver Pate with Crusty Bread (RM 12.00++)

Most probably my least enjoyed food that night, no faults on this but simply not to my preferential taste. Others seem like quite fond of the creamy & smooth pork liver pate on the crusty bread.

Bavarian Pork Salad (RM 18.00++)

Crispy leafy green, onions and cherry tomatoes with sweet and tangy mustard dressing; the grilled lean pork escalope round up the wholesomeness of the dish.

Cold Cut Platter for Two (RM 27.00++)

Consisted of Black Forest Ham, Turkey Ham, Grilled Bacon and Parma Ham served along with pickled baby gherkins, salad and bread.

Sausage Platter for Two (RM 68.00++)

Looking at the humongous platter of Farmer Bratwurst, Nuernberger, Pork Frankfurter, Thueringer, Emmethaler, Hungarian, Chorizo and Grilled Bacon really make a sausage hard core fans like me sing with joy     ♪(*^^)o∀*∀o(^^*)♪

Those sausages were awesome with seasonings added in the right doses and the result was tasty yet not too salty. Dipped with the four different sauces provided to heighten the level of the scrumptiousnes. The accompanied Sauerkrauts and potato salad were nicely executed as well.

The sauces for sausage platter:- Curry Ketchup, Garlic Mayo, Habanero Mayo and Sweet Mustard.

Whole Pork Ribs for Two (RM 68.00++)

The gargantuan slab of pork ribs is superbly delicious thanks to the pineapple barbeque sauce coated on it. The sauce and the meat’s original flavor complemented each other so well, the flavors literally burst in my mouth after a bite into it!

Bierhaus Knuckle (RM 66.00++)

Served with  sauerkraut, roasted potatoes and pork gravy.

Pork Knuckle definitely a obligatory order if one go to a German restaurant!  The lovely crackling skin sheathing tender meat & melt-on-tongue fats was so irresistible!

Let’s forget about the growing waistline!  (≧∇≦)

Bavarian Pizza (RM 33.00++)

Brittle crust, copious topping and the luscious melted cheese definitely make a great pizza!

Spaghetti Aglio Olio with Bacon (RM 22.00 ++)

Simple but classic aglio olio executed with grace as the spaghetti was al-dente tossed with garlic, olive oil, bacon, chili and mushroom. Just  simply delicious~

Carbonara with German Noodles (RM 22.00++)

Different with the former noodle dish, the texture of this house made German noodles are soft, bathed in luscious and silky cream sauce laced with cheese, bacon bits  and mushroom. The sauce was sufficiently creamy but thankfully not too thick and cloying, we manage to finish it effortlessly.

We were served with 3 types of beer that night to pair with the food:- Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc, Asahi Super and DryErdinger Weissbier. (from left to right)

At the end of the dinner we had a few desserts from the Cafe Vienna located next door which share the same owner with Bavarian Beergarden.

Apple Strudel

Linzer Torte

Tiramisu

Opera

The desserts were not bad and decent enough to be recommended.

Verdict: The price of the food might be slightly on the higher side but considering the big portion it’s actually quite reasonable. The food here definitely can satiated your craving for a oink oink 🙂
