Bliss Dim Sum @ Vista Magna, Kepong (Updated – Closed Down)

Updated @ September 2023 – Closed Down

A new kid on the block in Dim Sum scene at Kepong area and I discovered Bliss Dim Sum recently from a Facebook group that I joined.

The dining area was bright, airy and certainly had the feel of spaciousness with a lot of room between table. Simple yet comfortable environment to dine in. Service was okay but there are comments in Google Review mentioned that the service was slow and the cleanliness problem.

PS: Please ignore my silly hubby who covered his face when I told him he was in my photo. ̄ー ̄

Tie Guan Yin (RM4.50 – refillable)

The menu

Gold BBQ Fried Bun (RM5.80)

The Facebook post that I saw mentioned that this is their signature dish and for sure I had to order it.

Obviously, they are charcoal buns but were fancied up with gold dust for that extra “luxurious” feel. Decently fluffy bun filled with sweet savoury Char Siew filling, and they were pan fried hence the slightly crusted bottom.

Pork Dumpling (RM5.80)

Plump and meaty but the flavours missed the mark.

Steamed You Tiao Rice Sheet (RM6.80)

Not very commonly available in Dim Sum joints, but Bliss’s version didn’t quite live up to my expectation. The You Tiao aka Chinese cruller was not as crunchy as I would have hoped. But I still glad that I can savour this dish here nonetheless.

Pan Fried Radish Cake (RM5.80)

Creamy and nicely pan fried to golden brown on the outer, the radish cakes got stamp of approval from our radish cake princess, however she still prefer the one offered HERE. ◔_◔

Deep Fried Sweet Potato Balls (RM5.80)

I love this! Sweet potato glutinous rice balls covered with sesame seeds and filled with creamy custard filling, nicely deep-fried rendering a pleasant crispy outer. They were crispy, gooey and super nutty, a delectable treat that you shouldn’t miss if you happen to be here.

Minced Pork & Century Egg Porridge (RM4.80)

Velvety smooth and well seasoned.

♥Verdict: The Dim Sum is steamed/fried upon order, so it might take times for your food to be served. We were quite satisfied with the quality of the Dim Sum, decent but did not mind-blowing. But we felt that the portion was somewhat smaller and less compatible to the price.
