Cafe Deli by El Meson @ The Waterfront, Desa Parkcity

Replaced the previous El Meson restaurant at The Waterfront, Desa Parkcity is the Cafe Deli under the same management.

The cafe’s expansive space is brilliantly sectioned into three dining areas and each area is tastefully designed, setting a different mood but all are seamlessly tied together, providing patrons a space to relax and unwind.

Photo above is the small dining area near the entrance. Visually, it hits all the right notes, thanks to the contemporary design, mix and match furniture with different colours, patterns and textures as well as wine shelves as decoration on the wall.

Walk further and one will be greeted by a large table showcasing the lovely baked goods.

The second section of the cafe lies a bigger dining area with normal tables and chairs as well as banquette seats. I like how atmospheric this section is, from the mellow lighting, cream yellow and olive green walls, patterned pillows, mesh wire ceiling and ceiling panels and extra touches of greenery which I appreciated. Of course, the outdoor seating with the park and lake view is great too, provided the weather is a little bit better.

Flat White (RM12.00)

The beverages menu was extensive with coffees, teas, fresh juices, assorted detox juice concoctions, infused coolers, soft drinks and ice blended.

Their full-fledged menu offer wide variety of breakfast dishes (which available until 3pm) such as the usual Big Breakfast (RM35), Egg Benedict (RM20), Organic Chia Pudding (RM14), Truffle Scrambled Egg (RM18), Mumbai Eggs Kejriwal (RM22), Bircher Muesli (RM18) or customize your own breakfast. There are snacks/appetizers, salads, platters (cheese, cold cut and sausage), grilled meat (Iberico Ribs, Australian Wagyu Ribeye, etc), burgers, pastas and Oriental dishes (Fried Rice with Char Siu, Thai Pork Curry, etc).

Spaghetti Carbonara (RM30.00)

Thick, silky and utterly luscious, the al dente pasta was loaded up with heavy creamy notes. The version here is very lustrous as it oozes with lots of creamy carbonara sauce, mushrooms and crispy bacon.

Sausage/Bacon Butty (RM18.00)

A simple pan fried to perfection crispy bacon rashers (or other option of breakfast sausage) sandwiched in a buttered bun is enough to evoke a simple sigh of satisfaction of a bacon lover. But…… the raw watercress was way too bitter to be handled! (⋟﹏⋞)

American Pancakes (RM20.00)

Fluffy pancakes served with flambeed banana, chocolate and maple syrup was Sam’s choice that day as she wanted a lighter meal before the big feast of Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner. Price was a bit steep for a simple meal like this (ノ﹏ヽ)

♥Verdict: Overall, the food was fairly good which we rather enjoyed it and the ambiance was on point! I’d probably pay a revisit to check out the remainder of the menu, especially the platters.
