Crave @ Oasis Square, Ara Damansara
What’s your version of a comforting breakfast/brunch? For me, I love enjoy my breakfast/brunch at a laid-back atmosphere, away from the earsplitting chatters of the crowd and the most important definitely the food quality! If you nodding agreeably, let me introduce you one of my latest found!
Crave, a humble Aussie style cafe nestled at the beautifully designed Oasis Square, Ara Damansara.
Spacious with dark wooden furniture filled up the place, the illumination comes from the huge glass panel at the entrance.
The front and back segment of the cafe features a more laid-back style, well-suited for casual conversations over coffees instead of having a meal.
The bar counter
The decors is minimal, tiny potted plants, boomerangs and hand-painted murals on the walls. The ambiance is simple but soothing for a tranquil dining experience.
Iced Long Black (RM 10.00)
Crave served coffee brewed with coffee beans sourced from Toby’s Estate at Panama. Read more about Toby’s story at www.tobysestate.com.sg
Here at Crave, you’d also be able to purchase the coffee beans at RM 45.00 / packet.
Hot Chocolate (RM 10.00)
Phresh Pressed Smoothie (RM 9.00)
Thick and pure juice of mango, pineapple, apple, orange, banana and lime, every sip left me a refreshing fruity taste.
They provide kid’s cutlery set and some colour pencils and board games to keep the little ones busy while the parents busy tucking in. A praiseworthy effort indeed 🙂
Crave’s Big Breakfast (RM 22.00)
Consisted of 2 sunny side up, bratwurst sausage, beef bacon, baked beans, roasted cherry tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms and toasted wholemeal bread. The taste was pretty standard and average but the portion definitely can satiated big eater monster just like me. LOL
Look at the nicely shaped beef bacon, feel really guilty when my fork digging in it 😛
Good Morning Australia (RM 16.00)
Two poached eggs served on bed of wholemeal artisan bread, avocado puree and beef bacon with sprinkled of herbs and feta cheese.
The poached egg was perfectly oozed with a gentle prick. The saltiness from the feta cheese and beef bacon nicely enhanced the flavors of the mild tasted avocado puree.
Chicken Pesto Sandwich (RM 11.00)
A healthy combination with grilled chicken, pesto sauce and cheese sandwiched between 5 seeds artisan loaf. It might look unpretentious but all the ingredients work well enough to leave a positive impression.
Cheesy Meat balls Sandwich (RM 14.00)
3 big meat balls paired with tangy marinara sauce topped with generous melted cheese served with garden salad alongside. I love the flavor of the meat balls which brilliantly infused with herbs and the texture also well executed, not too finely minced or chunky, just perfect in my books!
Seabass in Spicy Cream Sauce (RM 15.00)
Seabass was used instead of the common dory fish where the former has a more flaky and firm texture. Bathed with spicy cream sauce and served with butter rice and blanched vegetables. The creamy sauce has mild spiciness and the savory flavor went well with the deep fried seabass and the butter rice. However it could have been better better if more sauce is given.
Crave’s Aussie Burger (RM 22.00)
A huge ensemble of beef patty, beef bacon, fried egg, cheese, grilled pineapple, beetroot, tomato and lettuce sandwiched between soft buns. A pretty fail-prof combination that too good to resist.
Green Pesto Chicken Pasta (RM 18.00)
A rather dull looking pasta dish but I was surprised by its taste! Coated with light pesto sauce infused with luscious cheese and heavenly scented with lots of chopped garlic. The basil taste was non discernible which is perfect for those who dislike the distinctive taste of basil leaves. This turned out to be my favourite that day!

Verdict: I like the spacious dining area and the comfortable ambiance which is perfect for a lazy weekend brunch. Although there were some hits and misses for the food but overall was quite a satisfied meal.
