E.A.T Food Village
E.A.T Food Village~ a non-halal food court @ PUBLIKA Solaris Dutamas? This really can ignite my interest since I knew about it although we already have Hutong @ Lot 10 but the former definitely more nearer & convenient for me 🙂
Just like what I said in previous post, I come here quite frequent & manage to try out a few stalls which offer some of the best hawker food from Klang Valley & North Peninsular.
Oriental classic pictures of women dressed in traditional cheongsam sparingly adorning the walls.
Comprises different dining sections with mixed of dark & white colour furniture. Bright dining area and comfortable spaces between the tables, this is not your ordinary food court impression in your mind huh 🙂
Some of the stalls at E.A.T Food Village~ The infamous Kin Kin Chili Pan Mee from Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, Hoong Kee Wonton Noodles from Cheras, Sentul Ah Yap Hokkien Mee, Yeoh’s Bah Kut Teh from Klang, BM Yam Rice from Bukit Mertajam, 天圆香煲 (Tian Yuen), Lorong Seratus Tahun from Penang, Restaurant Loke Yun from Ampang, Fishing Village Hakka Yong Tau Foo & Ah Yip Herbal Soup.
Fried Hokkien Mee (RM7.90)
From Sentul Ah Yap Hokkien Mee, packed with plenty of “wok hei” and generous of ingredients of prawns, vegetables, fish cakes, pork, squid and the essential PORK LARD but I prefer it to be more drier.
Yam Rice with Salted Pork Soup (RM9)
From BM Yam Rice, the set comprises yam rice, braised egg and beancurd & salted pork soup.
The yam rice was fluffy and topped with aromatic fried onions but tasted quite bland.
The braised beancurd and egg were mediocre and nothing to shout about.
I choose to skip pork innard for my salted pork soup, came with more than generous serving of pork belly slices, pork balls and slivers of salted vegetable. The sourness form the salted vegetable made the soup quite appetizing and wanted more after my first sip 😛
Lok Bak (RM 2.80)
Crispy beancurd skin wrapped the flavorful meat filling, 1 roll definitely not enough!
Chicken Rice Set (RM 8.90 – Big)
From Restaurant Loke Yun from Ampang, ranked one the BEST chicken rice in Malaysia! Being fans of Hainanese Chicken Rice, I wanted to try this long time ago and now my wish was granted!
Well poached, smooth and tender~ I love the fluffy rice too, every grain was full of chicken flavor.
The chili sauce has just enough vinegar for zing without being too acidic on taste buds.
For the LOVE of Chicken 🙂
Penang Char Kuey Teow (RM 9.90)
From Lorong Seratus Tahun.
Although it claimed that is an authentic Penang cuisine but was a letdown. The noodle was lack of “wok hei”, maybe we should try their signature curry laksa next time.
Barbeque Pork Wonton Noodle (RM 8.90 – Big)
From Hoong Kee Wonton Noodle.
I love the springy wonton mee doused in palatable black sauce but the barbeque pork (char siew) was way too lean to my liking.
Claypot Boneless Chicken Rice (RM 8.90)
From 天圆香煲 (Tian Yuen)
Resemble claypot chicken rice but with more gravy less the aromatic charred aroma. Boneless chicken was used and the addition of mushroom gave it an extra earthy flavor.
Chatime is one of the tenant at E.A.T too!
I got my Chatime fix here, the nearest outlet for me 🙂
Have you done the EAT circuit? Me almost, how about you? ^___*
sigh… the lobak is definately superb… now I have to go back and try the chicken rice…. 🙂
after u try it ley me know how you feel ya 🙂
Lorong seratus tahun …. there is a branch @ PJ SS2.
Me long time didn’t go there to eat..
Then the salted pork soup .. looks good.. remind me back the stall at Chai Leng Park, Penang.
Never been to SS2 branch but heard that the curry laksa’s standard had dropped~
wow…certainly a nice place for food hunting. KinKin also here ah. Maybe will go and try this Kin Kin. Heard many negative reviews one the Jln TAR ones say the taukeh Sou very fierce. Dare not go there.
Me too me too, I don’t like bad service~
Wow.. All in one food center.. Very convenient place..
Can’t believe u have yet pay a visit there, u always go here & there 😛
I like to come here because it’s nearer to my house, the parking is good and it’s not as crowded as food courts in town! 😉
Happy lunar new year to you and your family, Choi Yen! Wishing you a healthy and prosperous year of the dragon. 😉
Ya, near to our house lol
The Hoong Kee wanton noodle looks boring but this food court is certainly not! Must visit one day!
The wonton noodle is good!
