Euro Deli Restaurant @ Damansara Kim, Petaling Jaya

With more than 25 years since its establishment, Euro Deli is known for serving authentic Swiss-German menu and has brought much satisfaction for pork lovers in Klang Valley. Located at Damansara Kim, there are several cafes (eg: Kitchen Table) and kopitiam along that stretch of shop, so parking can be horrendous at this area.

 

Occupying 2 shoplots, seating are ample and well decorated with framed art pieces on the walls. Illumination comes from the huge glass windows as well as hanging pendant lights.

Euro Deli does serve a wide range of local and imported draught beer, imported bottled beer, liquor and wines.

 

 

Euro Deli also sells frozen ham, sausages, cold cuts, processed meat and imported food products.

 

Candy Bacon (RM18.90)

We tried one of their signature side dish of caramelized bacon strips which was crispy and savory with hint of sweetness. Pretty addictive but meager in portion for that price.

Swiss Mountain Macaroni (RM25.90)

An utterly sinful pasta dish with bounteous amount of luscious cheese, bacon bits and ham. It was extremely creamy and cheese, a bit too cloying for one to finish so sharing is recommended.

 

Mixed Roast of Knuckle, Ribs & Belly (RM39.90)

An enormous portion meats served with mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes and red cabbage. The ribs was tender and flavorful and the and we got a nice cut of stuffed pork belly with adequate layer of fat and lean meat.

The roasted pork knuckle was spot on too, with nice crackly skin sheathing tender meat and melt-on-tongue fats.

 

Butcher’s Plate (RM39.90)

Ham, Vienna sausage, smoked belly, boiled knuckle with Sauerkraut and mashed potatoes.

I like the sausage, firm and juicy but the boiled knuckle was, well, had strong porky taste that was too overpowering for my liking. The sides of mashed potato was well executed, creamy and buttery however the Sauerkraut seem a tad too sour for our taste bud.

 

Verdict: Euro Deli unquestionably a porcine goodness heaven which can satisfy any carnivores’ craving for meat. Taste wise, hits and misses on the food we’ve tried and price range is reasonable considering the portion served.
