Glass Tartines & Tipples @ St. Mary Place, Jalan Tengah, K.L

We invited some friends over for brunch on our second day of staycation at E&O Residences Kuala Lumpur  at Glass Tartines & Tipples which located next to the serviced apartment (St. Mary Place to be exact).

Glass is conveniently accessible from E&O Residences.

The restaurant has a rather small space which can be easily occupied with 20 diners. Setting is simple, the restaurant’s semi glass facade showcases a feature wall decorated with glasses, further enhanced with exposed light  bulbs as well as hanging wine bottles at the counter bar.

Outdoor seating are available as well.

Flat White (RM11.50)

Lychee & Pineapple Soda (RM12.00) & Watermelon Juice (RM13.50)

We took the opportunity to try out their BBQ Brunch which is available on Sunday from 11.00am onward.

Meat Platter (RM70.00)

Lamb

Beef Kebab

The platter is a smorgasbord of different meat that would elate any carnivores. Featuring lamb, beef kebab. chicken satay with house made peanut sauce, beef sausages as well as assorted sides dishes like sunny side up egg tartine, grilled corn on the cob, onion rings and salad. I like the beef kebab and chicken satay with pleasant smoky flavor. The house made peanut sauce was an uplifting sauce that went well with all the meat. The lamb most probably the only thing on the platter that we didn’t fancy, it was a tad too tough for our liking.

Seafood Platter (RM85.00)

Shellfish

Grilled Prawns Skewers

Grilled Fish Skewers

Grilled Squid

The Seafood Platter comprised grilled fish, prawns and squid, as well as mussels in creamy sauce. I like the prawns skewers with minimal seasoning which showcased the original sweetness of the crustacean with faint whiff of smokiness. Accompanied by two types of house made BBQ sauce.

Egg Florentine (RM23.00)

Crowned atop the toast were spinach, perfectly cooked poached free range egg and smothered with smoked paprika Gorgonzola sauce. The Gorgonzola sauce might be a tad too strong for some, but its’ totally welcomed for my palate!

Waffle with Fried Chicken & Maple Syrup (RM27.00)

Flavourful fried chicken with crispy outer and tender meat, served with firm textured waffles and drizzled with maple syrup, what’s not to love? The dish was polished off in a jiffy by the kids.

Waffle with Fruits and Yogurt (RM15.00)

Last but no least, a sweet waffle dessert to end our brunch session.

Verdict: The BBQ Brunch Platter with substantial portions and sensible prices was worth trying. If you’re not into BBQ, the breakfast menu that featuring several healthy options such as granola bowls, fruit salad and scrambled egg on toast definitely not a bad choice too. As its name implies, tartines take centre stage at this restaurant which available for lunch and dinner from 11.30am till late, great to pair with cocktails, crafted beers or wines.
