We had hired a driver for one day trip on our second day in Hatyai and he had arranged a full itinerary for us, are you ready? Let’s go!
After our satisfying breakfast (blog post will be up soon :P), we proceed to our first destination, a temple! Basically that day was a temples visit day, we’ve visit 5 temples under the hot scorching weather *sweat a bucket*
Temple #1
The entrance of the first temple with a grand golden arch. Sorry I can’t get the exact name of this place.
The huge Guan Yin statue after we entered the place.
Further down was a place for worship and prayer.
Some structures around that place.
Row of bells.
Sam was so exciting wanna hit the bell 🙂
The devotees’ contributions.
Devotees can take shower here with the “blessed water”, it believe can let you have better luck in the future.
Temple #2 ~ Chedi Thaimongkhon
The significant 2 storey Stainless Steel Pagoda which is the main attraction of this temple.
Row of wishing bells.
Bang, bang and bang the gong!
1000 Hands Bodhisattva Guan Yin & Three Headed Serpent statue at exterior of the pagoda.
Miniature stainless steel pagoda.
Around the exterior wall are 16 circular doors into cubicle where various shrines are located.
Concealed in small ceramic and glass vases are bone fragments of monks, placed at the lower center pillar which is the main center pillar that holds the entire circular stainless steel tubing of the 2 storey pagoda.
Elegant circular steel tube staircase to level 2.
The upper level is equally magnificent looking too with plenty of wishing bowls/coil bowls.
The steel tube structures and details of the pagoda.
