Kafe Go To School @ Solaris Mont Kiara
For most Malaysians, Korean cuisine is all about BBQ. Well, that is not entirely true. I’ll be glad to enlighten you on the other ” Korean cuisine”, readily available at Klang Valley.
Kafe Go To School, a rather new Korean cafe that joins the busy “little Korean Town” of Solaris Mont Kiara. Featuring a ‘back to school’ theme, the cafe is designed well to show off the ambiance of classroom furnished with colourful wooden tables and chairs (although ours not as vibrant like these, school in Korea perhaps:P)
Al-fresco dining area
Chalk board menu and enticing photos of food adorning one of the wall fully covered with wood planks. Kafe Go To School has an pretty extensive menu that consists of Korean Ramen, soup, hot pot, kimbap, burgers, Korean bingsu and waffles.
Some vintage school knick-knack decorated the place, there is even an old piano placed at the end of the restaurant.
Patrons are allowed to scribble on the walls with the chalks provided, a good activity to keep the kids occupied~ LOL

Everyone in awe when the first dish was brought to out table, not expecting it to be a such large portion! 5 types of dishes individually served in metal box and 4 side dishes then on a large round dish. A portion to be shared among 4-5 pax.
The set consists of a whole chicken is prepared in dual style, regular fried chicken and Fried Yang Neum Chicken coated in sweet chilli sauce. Deep fried in a rather thick batter which I not really fond of but Sam enjoyed it immensely which she had 2 pieces of the non-spicy version. The sticky sweet chili sauce on the other hand was quite moreish and flavorful, the addition of crush peanuts and sesame seeds definitely the magic touch that compensated the thick batter 😛
Oh ya, they provide plastic gloves to the patrons! A thoughtful gesture to let the diners savor the fried chicken at its best without worry about the oily hands aftermath.
Jab Chae, stir fried Korean glass noodles with vegetables. Well cooked with every strand absorbed the flavor of the seasonings while the vegetables still remained crunchy.
Kim Male Ri, fried seaweed glass noodles roll & rice balls
Kimchi Bibim Guksu Cold Noodles with Egg
For a more substantial options, the are noodle and rice in the set too.
Another giant pot was brought to our table with portable mini stove. I saw huge beef ribs stacked highly on bed of ingredients such as glass noodles, rice cakes (tteok), carrot, cabbage and spring onion. Submerged in a sweet savory broth made from Korean pear, apple, pineapple, ginseng and more, those ingredients absorb the delicate flavors from the broth. The beef ribs unquestionably took the center stage here for its tenderness yet had a good bite in the meat. Highly recommended!
Seafood Udon
Make sure you save room for desserts if you visit Kafe Go To School! Bingsu, the Korean shaved ice dessert is one of the signature here as well as other desserts such as waffles and crepe cakes. Being indecisive, we had 3 bingsu and they turned out to be very satisfying.
Jeweled with generous amount of strawberries, blue berries, raisins, corn flakes and a scoop of Vanilla ice cream. The shaved ice of the bingsu was superbly fine and fluffy which carried a sleek of pleasant milky flavor. A contenting dessert to be shared!
