La Casa @ The Waterfront Desa Park City

Nestled at The Waterfront Desa Park City, La Casa serving up Italian cuisine and array of enticing looking cakes & pastries.

The restaurant boasts an casual yet elegant interior with pretty chandelier emitting pleasant soft lighting. There are tables arranged along the wall and some tables at the middle of the space. One can also choose to dine in al-fresco style with a view of lake and the lush green park.

 

My eyes was riveted to the delicate custom made cakes on display.

 

As per mentioned earlier, La Casa offer wide variety of cakes and pastries and dessert lovers definitely will scream with excitement when they see the glass display cabinet full with these utterly delectable pieces.

Rose Green Tea (RM 12.00++)

 

Wild Mushroom Soup (RM 14.00++)

Nice creamy texture, thick without being stodgy. I like the mushroom bits were in abundance, each spoonful left a strong aroma of fungi behind.

 

Duck Confit (RM 38.00++)

Lying on bed of green apple stripes, the duck confit was pan fried to a perfect golden brown with an extremely crispy skin. The flavors and texture was spot on and the sourness from the green apple and swirls of balsamic vinegar had tuned down the saltiness of the meat and blended together in perfect harmony.

 

Smoked Chicken Pesto (RM 26.00++)

My fettucine was dressed in light pesto cream sauce which is sufficiently creamy, but thankfully not too thick or cloying. Generous sprinkles of herbs had created a nice robust flavors to the sauce. Accompanied were french beans and smoked chicken which made this great wholesome meal 🙂

 

Coffee Macaron (RM 3.90 ++)

Sam‘s choice of dessert ~ I love my dessert but always found that macaron is way too sweet for me but I’m glad that this was acceptable.

 

Framboise (RM 9.50++)

The taste was average but the texture was a bit too dry.

 

Verdict: Although the food here was quite memorable but definitely not a place we can go to often as the price range is on higher side but I don’t mind making a revisit again for some special occasions 🙂
