Lee Fong Yuen 李芳园 @ Taman Ehsan, Kepong
Lee Fong Yuen, a hidden gem tucked away in a commercial area at Taman Ehsan, Kepong which is notable for serving delicious plate of noodles for more than 30 years.
Typical coffee shop/kopitiam setting and the interior as well as the furniture has worn down over the years.
Price list being displayed near the cooking station at the entrance. They serve wonton noodles/meehoon/yellow noodles/koay teow with various ingredients such as barbecued pork(char siew), dumpling (wonton), braised beef (beef balls, beef brisket etc) as well as chicken feet and mushroom. There is also curry noodles.
Dry Wonton Mee (RM5.50)
The noodles was nicely cooked to right texture, not too slouchy nor overly hard to the bite. Tossed with aromatic soy sauce concoction which I believe pork lard oil was added, rendering a robust and enticing flavors. The accompanying meat dumpling and barbecued pork was mediocre though.
Beef Noodle – Dry (RM7.00)
I had dry wonton noodles paired with braised beef. The noodles was tossed with same soy sauce concoction as above and a bowl of braised beef was serve separately.
Portion wise, my bowl of braised beef came with tender pieces of brisket, tripe and crunchy tendon. The dark brown gravy had a good dose of spices and herbs yet not too overpowering, some may find it mild but it’s just nice for my taste bud. The chili dipping went well with the beef as well, slightly zing with gentle chili heat.
Verdict: A great place for me to assuage my yearning for beef noodles. If you are happen to be around this area, give this a try!

your side very lucky. a lot of good food every corner. 🙂
Yes, I’m blessed with good selection of food here but still I always food hunting outside my area, LOL
looks like sheer, sure noodle satisfaction! 😀
I always a satiated customer when I dining here 🙂
