M Boutique Hotel, Ipoh
Hubby suggested that we should plan a visit to Lost World of Tambun after he came back from there for his company’s team building trip. What fascinated him the most is the Hot Spring & Spa By Night. He also insisted that we can skip the water theme park and amusement park (daytime) and ONLY visit the night Spa. The reason he gave me was the scorching weather is pretty unbearable for those activities and the place is lack of shady area. For good sake, he don’t want both me & Sam get sunburn just like him, hehe 😛 Ok, since he’s been there, Sam & I just listen to him ~~
I’ll blog abut our Hot Spring & Spa By Night @ Lost World of Tambun later and let’s check out our accommodation first today. Shall we?
When I was booking our accommodation, I saw a friend posted in Facebook an attractive promotion rate for M Boutique Hotel, Ipoh. Without hesitation I clicked into their website and settled our hotel stay for the trip.
The beautiful space is further accentuated by comfy large fabric sofas, patterned cushions, leather covered coffee tables, ambient lighting and colourful flowers in big vases. The huge window panels, high ceilings as well as colour combinations, a kind of setting that exudes inviting and pleasing vibe.
Every corner of the hotel is brimming with characters with lots of corners to be explored.
Large vintage luggage boxes, jerry cans are part of the ornaments too. The persuasively appealing decor encourage me to pick up my camera and start shooting (non-stop) LOL
Even the lift area is tastefully decorated with classic big round clocks showing different time zones.
M Boutique Hotel Ipoh boasts 93 rooms with 3 thematic floors and each floor is meant to cater to a specific theme, with unique furniture catering to each room type.
The Adventure Floor on the first level has a Malayan safari concept that features abundant animal motifs and travel themed pieces. Second floor carrying the Majestic theme where cheeky numerology is used against a chic raw backdrop to great graphic effect. The highest floor is called The Excelsior – here alphabets and colourful insects abound amongst the loft setting.
Everything is taken seriously here, look at the room number design! *love
Our superior double room was respectfully small but it was more than enough for 3 of us. Although the room missed mark on spaciousness but it still provided adequate coziness and is not spared from the artsy touch.
Well equipped with air-conditioner, wardrobe, TV, bathrobes, WIFI, mini bar, electronic safe, coffee and tea making facilities. Love love love the mural of cute little deer jumping over the TV~~
Complimentary drinking water and snacks (is Ipoh’s famous kacang putih!!)
The bathroom adopted a simple but elegant black and white theme, equipped with both rain shower and hand held shower.
Also provided are hair dryer, basic toiletries and nice indoor slippers which I happily brought back home ^__*
Large mirror is ♥
Our room came with complimentary breakfast and guests have options of having it at Myth Eatery & Bar or OldTown White Coffee Grand, both located at ground floor.
Myth Eatery & Bar
The visually sumptuous restaurant is bedecked with elegant chandeliers, mix and match furniture, huge bunch of flowers and feature wall with recycled wooden window panels.
Some merchandises being sold in the restaurant such as dessert display trays, cushion covers, tote bags, wines, photo frames, candles and etc.
There are 5-6 options of breakfast in the menu and each come with coffee or tea. Food was just mediocre and really nothing to shout about.
The prices of the merchandises are slightly on higher side for me but if you’re fan of handcrafted artsy products, this is the place for you.
Other facilities in the hotel include:-

M | SPACE
There are two M | SPACE here. The first space located on the Ground Floor which is a suitable for 4-5 people to hold intimate discussion as long as it’s an intimate event! The second one is located on Level 1 which is slightly bigger. M | SPACE is ideal for lectures, seminars, workshops, or just to gather to celebrate life in general.
Verdict: My stay here was great and my photos certainly do not do much justice to the grand ambience and design of the M Boutique Hotel. Service was generally friendly and prompt for both check in/out counter and restaurant. Come and experience yourself! If you adore boutique hotel setting, you might want to consider M Boutique Hotel!

they should provide a tagline like :”啊,大家一起来M吧~”
什么啊? =.=”
nice pics of the decor! i haven’t stayed at this hotel but i have visited their restaurant myth for dinner once 😉
The food at Myth is just mediocre for me but I absolutely love their decors~
Last two years went I went Ipoh for my best friend’s wedding, I really wish to book this boutique hotel but unfortunately, it can’t accommodated 3 of us in a room. Looking forward to stay here in future. Interested in staying boutique hotel lately.
I like boutique hotel too especially those with unique theme 🙂
This hotel is not big (93 rooms only) and very popular among tourists like us, so advanced booking is essential.
I’m not that into quirky interiors and boutique hotels (I like my rooms to be uncluttered with clean lines)…..but I must say the hotel lobby looks terrific 😉
Actually there is not much ornaments in the room, only the lobby is heavily decorated 😛
Wow! I am impressed by the whole interior of this hotel. I saw the website when I booked my Ipoh’s hotel recently but they didn’t share so much like you. They must pay you a token of free stay for promoting them well as I will head there on my next trip.
I will definitely accept with pleasure if they do so, haha! #thickface
Your pictures look great, I love it. Very lovely boutique hotel indeed but since I’m always travelling with kids, I am always on the lookout for spaciousness. I’ll definitely keep this place in mind should there be need to travel solo or without the kids.
There are bigger rooms to accommodate 4 of you nicely 🙂
