We had the large version of Prosperity Abalone Treasure Pot featuring 18 different ingredients in the pot. The top layer consisted of Australian Premium Braised Abalone (10 heads), Japanese Premium Dried Scallops, Fresh XL Sea Prawns, Korean Dried Oysters and Golden Pearl Balls. While the next layers nestled a layer of Braised whole Pork Knuckle,  Australian Sea Cucumber, Premium Fish Maw, “AA” Mushrooms, Sliced Pearl Abalone, Victoria Sea Asparagus, Superior Braised Pork, Premium Bailing Mushrooms, Dried Beancurd Skin, China Lotus Roots, Village Chicken, Roasted Duck,l, Sea Moss and  Pig’s Tendon.

The braised whole pork knuckle was gigantic in size however I prefer it could be braised longer time to have a softer texture.

Pipping hot till the last drop~~~

Poon Choy indeed a symbolize of prosperity and abundance with its lavish and luxurious ingredients, definitely a best choice for Chinese New Year dining.

Beside the treasure pot we also savored some signature dishes.

Fried Meehoon with Fresh Crabs (品香蟹炒米) @ Seasonal Price

The braised meehoon absorbed the natural essence and sweetness from the fresh crab, slurping up the meehoon full with ocean flavor was an purely enjoyment.

Coming up nest was their First Class Charcoal Roasted Chicken.

First Class Charcoal Roasted Chicken(品香炭烧一品鸡) ~Half @ RM 30.00++ / Whole @ RM 60.00++

A beautifully roasted corn-fed chicken served with lychee.

 IMG_2539

Using the traditional charcoal roasting method, the chicken has an absolutely crispy skin with succulent tender meat. The pleasant smoky flavor from the charcoal fire was something commendable too.

Stir Fried Choy Sum with Bittergourd (苦瓜菜心) (M) RM 12.00++/ (L) RM 20.00++

The combination of canned pickled choy sum and the thinly sliced bittergourd was surprisingly great! The saltiness of the pickled choy sum has neutralized the bitterness of the bittergourd, for me I like the crunchiness from both ingredients!
