The ELK @ Solaris Mont Kiara
Pork burger is getting more common in our F&B scene if compare to a few years back & I’ve also tried a few such as The Giraffe, S.Wine Cafe, Andes BYO, Kalamazoo Cafe, J Tean Kitchen or even earlier like Nambawan Restaurant, Cristang, Ninja Joe and Kissaten. The hunting of pork burger still going on and this is my latest found ~ The ELK @ Solaris Mont Kiara.
A brainchild of a husband and wife team, E.L & K hence the name of the restaurant The ELK.
“A Passion for food Meets a passionate love” ~ The couple’s love for spending time together and their love for food drove them to open The ELK.
A humble & minimalistic setting featuring simple tables and wooden chair, booth & lounge seats.

Cafe Latte (RM 7.00)
Camomile Tea (RM 7.00)
Extreme Porky Pork Burger (RM28.00)
Comprised 200gm minced grilled minced pork patty (which didn’t look like at all), ham, cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup & mustard. Phweet….. what a long list however the burger was mere generic. The pork patty was reasonably seasoned but lack of “WOW” factor.
Roast Chicken (RM20.00)
While the pork burger was below our expectation, the roasted chicken saved the night. Perfectly roasted, tender & succulent meat with all the marinade nicely penetrated within, definitely one of the best I’ve tried! I enjoyed immensely the honey dipping too, sweet and coupled with subtle hints of herbs which went really well with the chicken. So heavenly, the 30 minutes waiting time is well worthy and certainly manage to lure me to a second visit!

I too think their Extreme Porky pork burger was just so-so…I prefer the tastier Up the Ante bacon-wrapped pork burger at Ante’s or the meatier Mighty Piggy pork burger at Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf…hehe =)
I have yet try any of them >.< The Ante, TLP and BBW ~
The pork burger macam abit expensive ma?
there is a cheaper version if not mistaken~
wah.. chocolate before the meal??? 🙂
heard abt this place but I havent been there yet…
So many restaurants in town, we can’t try them all >.<
Mamamia…….nice nice leh the chic. what sauce it’s that? Look like there is oil or something
ya, with some olive oil in it~
i hope the pork burgers in kl will continue to improve in both quantity and quality! heheh 😀
So far which is your best pork burger in town?
sadly the pork burger has been quite a disappointment here. perhaps my next return will be better for the other dishes.
I’ll go back for the chicken 😛
OOH! This reminds me of an Italian restaurant back in Perth, where they give their customers a complimentary hand-made chocolates at the end of the meal! How thoughtful of that!
Ya simple gesture can make a customer happy 🙂
i am a pork lover!! haha, anything pork i would love to try.. but first thing that this place attracts me is the environment, it feels like home..
Ya, homey~~
I love the Extreme pork burger there, perhaps the consistency varies. My friend had the roast chicken as well, apparently the sauce is a mixture from the juices of the roast chicken and honey. Yum!
I love the sauce for the chicken, make it even tastier!
