Tian Siang Hui Wei Hotpot @ Sunway Giza Mall
This might be the most expensive steamboat that I’ve ever had! Our total damage for 6 person include food, drinks and service charge came almost RM 600!!! WTH, what did we had you may ask?
Well, Tian Siang Hui Wei Hotpot/Steamboat not only famous for its Ma Lat (spicy) soup base but also their fine-dining grade of price! I have heard a lot of good reviews about this place and all of them also share the same comment that the meal will cost you an arm and a leg! Are you ready to see how I splurged on my sumptuous hotpot meal?
Tian Siang Hui Wei Hotpot @ Sunway Giza Mall, Kota Damansara
Located at first floor of outer part of Sunway Giza Mall facing the street, the restaurant was brightly lid with strong air-conditioner.
There are a few private rooms to cater different functions or gathering.
Sterilized cutlery (RM 1.00 / set)
It’s common at restaurant manned by Chinese from China which I experienced it before.
Chinese Tea
Two choices of soup base:- Tian Siang Pot(spicy) or Hui Wei Pot (non-spicy)
Combo Pot (RM 35.00+)
We had combination of both soup bases. The soup was made from concoction of more than 60 types of Chinese herbs without any MSG or artificial ingredients. The soup emitted a pleasant herbal smell when it served on our table and the spicy soup had a quite an “attacking” aroma. Although the soup looks fiery but it was acceptably spicy to the palate and we enjoyed the “sweating” moment when sipping the broth 😛
The recipe is believed was from Genghis Khan and have high nutritious value due to the ingredients used for preparing it.
Familiar steamboat ingredients dominate the menu which also contains some special items such as tomato imperial balls, mustard yogurt balls, Japanese ginko, Dioscorea opposita and quite a number of vegetarian ingredients.
Lamb (RM 30.00+)
Pork Belly (RM 23.00+)
Boneless Pork Ribs (RM 20.00+)
Pork Shoulder (RM 21.00+)
Fresh Scallops (RM 30.00+)
Different with the usual steamboat restaurant, the staff here will help you to throw all the ingredients into your pot ~.~ Please stop them if you wanna take photo or else every photo will looks like this >.<
Squid Sausages (RM 36.00+)
One of the special item that seem like a must order in most of the reviews I’ve studied. Crunchy but tasted quite bland and it will curl up when cooked.
Prawn Paste in Bamboo (RM 20.00+)
Most of the ingredients we had were fresh, so quality assured!
Taiwan Shanghai Soup Ball (RM 22.00+)
Mongolian Wrap (RM 20.00+)
This was made from tofu and minced mushroom which had incredibly bouncy texture just like fish paste, really amazing!
Fish Roes Balls (RM 22.00+)
Filled bountifully with golden fish roes, I enjoyed the popping sensation immensely~
Supan Cheese (RM 22.00+)
Yun Choy (RM 11.00+), Chinese Cabbage (RM 15.00+) & Baby Bok Choy (RM 10.00+)
Eryngii Mushroom(RM 16.00+)
Shimeji Mushroom (RM 17.00+)
La Mien (RM 12.00+)
This really made me laugh non-stop when I saw it! Wan Pu Le Titi literally translated as Empurau’s brother >.<
PS: Empurau 忘不了 is a type of freshwater fish with exaggerating price as its prices can reach as high as RM1800 per kilogram!
Opps… did I tell you that I had all these with 50% discount vouchers I bought from group buy site? Been tricked? Hahaha LOL

Eryngii mushrooms at rm16++ ?! No thank you. Too expensive for poor student like me T.T
Too expensive for a poor OL like me too 🙁
hi , we now have new price list .. the price was going down ..
Thank you for informing 🙂
pricey even with discount but if food taste great then ok lo
The soup was really not bad~
luckily u gt the 50% discount…
Yes, if not sure won’t dine in here! *cut throat price*
Really very China-style…the wrapped up cutlery set, fishballs, funny menu and all. Hot pot restaurants are very popular here too but I hear a lot of scandals going on and dare not eat. The most famous story is “recycling soup” where they collect and reuse unfinished soup left behind by customers. Very disgusting one lah these China people! Macam2 stories….
Aiyerrrrr…..so geli, eat or not to eat dilemma right >.<
ooo, quite a lot of interesting ingredients. i want squid sausage and fish roe balls, heheh 😀
Squid sausage looks interesting only, taste was bland while the fish roe ball was nice~
wow, looks good!! love that prawn paste in bamboo and all those meat slices, as well as those mushrooms!! must be so good~~
Overall was a good steamboat meal but the price is…… >.<
Wahh…indeed very expensive o. But the soup looks yummy.
Is very very expensive! @_@
Hmmm..RM100/pax for steamboat. I guess that’s the pros of getting the voucher.
Yes, you are right! I’ve tried a few restaurant that I dare not step in with those 50% discount vouchers 😛
A nice place during 除夕夜。 lol
But too expensive without the 50% discount vouchers ~>_<~
I think it’s ridiculous to spend that kinda money on steamboat. All items are overpriced. Just look at the price they charge for the Chinese cabbage and you’ll know you’re being suckered!
Ya, I wonder why there are still people dine in here without discount?
Wa so exp!
Indeed! @_@
Looks really fresh no doubt….How was the prawn bamboo? Was it good?
All the ingredients were ok, consider quite fresh~
can eat with discount else… that is one pricey steamboat leh.. even the bola bola is all RM20+ and above! Will save this for special occasion… hehehe.. 🙂
Definitely will not step in without the discount!
