Wondermama Restaurant & Cafe @ Bangsar Village I
Oh, “Wondermama”, I really chuckle a little when I heard about this name of a restaurant, taking over from Outback Steakhouse at ground floor of Bangsar Village I, right beside Plan B. Before my visit I’ve read about numerous reviews about this place, its menu of Asian fare with an interesting twist and the old-school decor.
The place was rather vacant on my visit on Sunday for brunch. After done with the ordering I can’t wait to stroll around the upstairs area (where we were seated) which adorned with plenty of unique ornaments.
The setting at upstairs.
One of the corner with those retro chairs.
Oh My God, the cinema chairs! Sam had so much fun playing with the chairs ^__^
The separated smoking area.
The retro tiles~
I can’t help myself but took the photo of all those old-school decor items, some are really bring back my childhood memory ~
The snacks of 70’s/80’s babies?
The setting at ground floor was equally lovely too with long communal tables and some interesting details.
Coffee Latte (RM 8.00++)
Served in cute metal cup and with nice coffee art~
Wondermama Half Boiled Egg (RM 3.80++)
Timer was set, so wait patiently….
Additional of seaweed and mushroom make the ordinary soft boiled egg extraordinary! A dash of pepper and soy sauce, mix it all well and you have a bowl of eggy goodness.
Mushroom Naan Pizza (RM 13.90++)
A fusion blend, the Indian naan topped with tomato sauce spread, mushroom, wolfberries, melted cheese and a handful of rocket leaves completed the appearance of the dish.
Nasi Lemak 2.0 (RM 16.90++)
The nasi lemak was served with basic condiments of peanuts, fried anchovies, sliced cucumber, hard boiled egg, sambal and with additional of keropok (crackers) and karaage (Japanese style fried chicken)
While the fried chicken was extremely crunchy and pipping hot I spied some petai in the sambal which make the merely normal sambal more scrumptious.
Traditional Nyonya kuih from the counter.
The Potong, the handmade popsicles with flavours like Cherry Root Beer, Beer + Lime, Spicy Nutella+Santan, Teh Tarik and many more!
Coming back? Yes, it got approval from my Boss! ~☆〜(ゝ。∂)
