Yen Can Cook: Spicy Chicken Wrap
Pack a bento to work seem like a trend now. One can eat healthier by preparing home cooked food which is free of MSG and less oily. So are you one of those who wake up a little bit earlier in the morning and prepare your own bento for lunch time during working day? I must confess, I’m not, haha! Most of the time I just opt to dine in at any food courts or eateries nearby my office but the recently scorching weather really deterred me from eat out. DIY bento is the solution!
Prepare bento in the morning doesn’t sound like an easy task but believe me, it’s not as difficult as you think. Check out this recipe which only takes 10-20 minutes to prepare, an ideal food for your bento.
Ingredients
1pcs tortilla wrap
Boneless chicken meat
Romaine lettuce
Capsicum
1pcs cheddar cheese
1 hard boiled egg
Marinade
soy sauce + pepper + sugar + Lingham Sriracha Sauce
Spread
Mayonnaise + Lingham Sriracha Sauce
Step 1: Marinade chicken with the marinade for 2-3 hours or up to overnight.
Step 2: Grilled or pan fried the chicken until it is cooked through. Set aside.
Step 3: Spread the mixture of mayonnaise + Lingham Sriracha Sauce over the tortilla wrap.
Step 4: Place the vegetables, meat (step 2), cheese slice and egg on the wrap. Drizzle with the sauce concoction. Roll up wrap and serve.
HAPPY COOKING!
With the rising inflation costs in our country, it would be wise if we could always eat home cooked food or Bento To Go! Every dollar saved is a dollar earned.
I will try to cook at home for dinner during weekdays as my girl off school quite late and if we eat out she have no time to finish her home works >_< But weekends is my OFF DAY ya ^__^
where can get the chili sriracha? looks spicy =)
I got it from Jaya Grocer @ Mutiara Damansara.
I’ll have one tortilla to go please…hehe….but minus the cheese slice 😉
Why omit the cheese, it made the wrap tasted great when it half melted 😛
I love this kind of healthy wrap but I still cannot master the art of wrapping. All my creations are open faced. Hahahha
It’s ok, as long as is edible LOL
Nice! I used to eat a lot of wraps too – would get a pack of Mission style burrito wraps and put all sorts of things in it. My favorite was Nutella and bananas. It was an easy snack but yours is more complicated. It’s better too coz it’s savory, but takes a bit of time to make.
sweet version sound yummy too, great for afternoon tea 😛
Waking up earlier definitely is not what i will do..
Even u think this is easy steps, to me is consider complicated ald ><
很容易啦,鸡肉前一晚就腌好,蔬菜也可以切好通通放冰箱,第二天早上只是烤鸡肉而已。很容易吧~
i love sriracha sauce, so yes, please deliver one of this to me, thank you 🙂
This is my first time trying Sriracha sauce & I like the hint of sourness in it 😛
Can substitute for any sandwich meat as well i.e ham, turkey or roast beef. Or.. Leftover fried chicken and fries can be used for burrito as well 😀 Try also with medium cheddar or pepper jack cheese Mmm.. That’s usually my regular quick meals at home.
Yaya, very versatile, can put in anything you like but my highlight will be the dressing 🙂
