Yen Can Cook: Stir Fry Choy Sum with Beef

A really quick post today of my “Everyday” vegetables stir fry recipe 😛

Why “Everyday”? Because basically I’ll prepare similar vegetables stir fry almost everyday with different combination of vegetables and meat. LOL Veggie is a must-have item for a balanced meal. You may also use up all veggies–bits and pieces that you haven’t used throughout the week for this vegetables stir fry.


Ingredients (Serve: 2-3)

200g beef, sliced

300g Choy Sum, trimmed

3 tablespoons oyster sauce

3 tablespoons water

4 cloves garlic, minced

Cooking oil

2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 tablespoons soy sauce
Step 1: In a bowl combine all marinade ingredients then marinate sliced beef for 10-15 minutes.
Step 2: Heat up a pan in really high heat, once pan is smoking add a small amount of oil then once oil is hot add beef in and cook for 1-2 minutes. Dish and set aside.
Step 3: Sauté minced garlic on the same pan until fragrant, add vegetables, water and oyster sauce. Stir fry for a minute or until vegetables are just wilted, add in beef (Step 2) and continue stir fry for 30 seconds. Turn heat off then serve.
