Delicious @ St. Mary Place, Jalan Tengah, K.L

Sufficient F&B options at this area definitely score extra brownie points for staying experience at E&O Residences Kuala Lumpur. Glass Tartines & Tipples and Delicious were two of the restaurants that I’ve tried during my stay. Other options such as Black Market, Zenzero and Sushi Hinata are worth checking out too.

No stranger in our F&B scene, Delicious is always known for its extensive menu which covers both local and western cuisine as well as its delectable list of dessert selections.

Their outlet at St. Mary Place served daily breakfast buffet for the E&O Residences KL guests. The restaurant is spacious and well sectioned into a few dining areas. The interior is cozy with patterned tile flooring, lively tropical wall paper and framed by modern chic furniture.

I like their al-fresco dining seating and we had our breakfast here, surrounded by greenery.

Asam and the Bois (RM8.90)

A refreshing lime and sour plum mocktail.

Delicious Milkshake (RM15.90)

Salted Egg Fish Skin (RM17.00)

A failproof combination that cannot go wrong! Crunchy fish skin lusciously coated with sandy orange salted egg yolk sauce, topped with toothsome chicken floss, so good that sharing is NOT recommended!

Roasted Pumpkin Salad (RM25.00)

A great concoction as the combination of the textures and flavours were amazing from its heart ingredients of roasted pumpkin, tomato, spinach, rocket, balsamic pearls, chickpeas, feta, pine nuts, croutons and tossed with lemon dressing. I really adored how the tangy balsamic vinegar pearls lifted up the flavour of the overall salad.

Baked Salmon (RM38.00)

Norwegian Salmon with crispy skin (though in quite a strange presentation LOL), served with citrus segments, roasted potatoes and grapefruit reduction. The citrus fruits added its own distinctive flavour and acidity to the fish, but the grapefruit was a bit bitter for my liking.

Classic Cheese Burger (RM35.00)

Sandwiched between the soft sesame buns, the US Black Angus mince patty was perfectly executed, juicy and well flavoured. Other ingredients of cheddar, tomato, lettuce, onion and gherkin completed the ensemble.

Nasi Kerabu with Ayam Percik (RM33.00)

A rice platter comprised butterfly pea flower blue rice, ulam (traditional salad produced from the fresh leaves, vegetables or fruits), salted egg, sambal belacan, budu (fermented fish sauce),  crackers and grilled chicken whole leg smothered in rich creamy spiced gravy. The grilled chicken was tender soft, went well with the tasty spicy gravy.

Mee Goreng Mamak (RM28.00)

An unpretentious dish that really wowed me with its bold flavour of spicy, sour, smoky which really elevated it to another level of enjoyment. The fried noodles was stir fried with plenty of ingredients such as squid, chicken, prawns, beancurd, cucur (fried fritters) and  tomato.

Pavlova (RM18.00)

Onde Onde Cake (RM15.00)

Dining at Delicious will never complete without trying some or their signature desserts. I’m glad that both Pavlova and Onde Onde Cake that we had were not cloyingly sweet.

♥Verdict: Hits and misses on the food, but mostly good. Service was prompt and warm, Delicious is a good place to head to for some straight forward local and western cuisines.

  • Salted egg fish skin sounds like the best sort of heart attack food!

  • I’ve been to their now closed Dua Residency outlet a few times…but my last visit was 5 years ago when the food of that outlet unfortunately did not live up to its name. I like the citrus segments in the salmon dish (it reminded me of a nice one I had, rather refreshing in taste). I do agree with you on the rather unique (or strange) presentation of the dish though. Well, with its skin standing up, you can’t argue that it’ll at least stay crispy…hahaha! 😀

  • Kris, I think I’ve been to the Dua Residency outlet once for their Hi Tea. The presentation of the salmon dish, really don’t understand, haha! Maybe just like what you said, at least the skin stay crispy LOL
