Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park
Last month we’ve made a spontaneous trip to the Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park after our lunch at The Cafe. Located at Jalan Cenderasari, adjacent to the Taman Tasik Perdana aka Lake Garden and Kuala Lumpur Bird Park.
Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park located in the heart of bustling Kuala Lumpur cit, a kingdom with splendid haven of hundreds of vividly colored, free flying butterflies and other insects. Spanning over 80,000 square feet of landscaped garden with over 5,000 butterflies, exotic plants, butterfly-host plants and ferns, it is one of the largest houses in the world. The park also houses an exhibition area with information on butterflies and other insects.
We were greeted by the green landscape which simulated natural rainforest environment at the starting point.
Butterflies, moth, insects, chirping birds, flowers and fishes in the net covered park.
Colourful blooming flowers in the park.
Where are the butterflies?? Here we go!
The butterflies feeding on hibiscus’s nectar.
The butterflies feeding on pineapple.
The “falling angels” ~>_<~
The live pupa.
Also nestled in the KLBP is a insect museum to enhance your knowledge about various insects and butterflies of the world.
The stick insect.
The Moving Leaf, an insect that looks like a leaf!
Tarantula
Toad
Disgusting #1!! The gecko I ran away when I saw this, OMG!!
Disgusting #2
Malayan Horned Frog
Another area of the park with pond of koi fishes and duckies~
There are also a few turtle tanks here at this area.
Look at its long neck!
Bull Frogs
There is a souvenier shop at the end of the tour selling variety of butterfly inspired items.
Verdict: We enjoyed the tour seeing those beautiful creatures fluttering around but to be honest I expected to see more butterflies and the variety also quite limited (as what I’ve seen), maybe we were not in the correct timing to see more?

Kids definitely will love this place!
The Stick Insects and Moving Leafs are always my favourite but I never saw them in jungles. Probably they were well hidden from my sight.
Goodness! The Malayan Horned Frogs are so rare and unusual!!!!!! They look like robots!
I think they are good pretender until u can’t find them in the jungle!
