>Pao Xiang String Tied Meat Bak Kut Teh

>This is a by-chance patronage.
Initially we wanted to have lunch at Meng Kee Char Siu @ Glenmarie, Shah Alam ~ one of the best char siu restaurant in town but they are closed on Sunday.
So we figured that we gonna have lunch elsewhere until I spotted a bright yellow signboard at last row of shoplot of that industrial area – Pao Xiang String Tied Bak Kut Teh!

Bright & clean dining area with air-condition.

Teapot set & cutlery embossed with their logo & name.

Self service on refilling of hot water but you can also ask for help from the waiter too 🙂

Chinese Tea ~ Always good companion with Bak Kut Teh 🙂

Oil rice (RM 1.20)

Ribs & Meat Bone / 五花肉 (RM 9.50 / serving)
Served with ceramic bowl with candle burner beneath to keep the soup warm.

We didn’t order their signature string tied meat because it’s too fat for our liking. Ribs with leaner meat was our choice with decent amount of meat attached which was very tender. The soup with rich taste redolent with herbs has gelatinous texture maybe perhaps due to long boiling period?

Vegetables (RM 8.50)
To offset the guilt ^^

Last but no least, Chinese tea to wash off the fat that we have consumed, but does it really works? 😛

  • >Looks nice, but I somehow prefer BKT in claypot instead of ceramic bowls. You get more ingredients (mushrooms, fu chuk, etc) and portion is bigger, not to mention it's always piping hot! 🙂

  • Hi All Eater,

    Date : 08/04/2012

I just visited your Klang Centro branch and had my worst experience ever in Pao Xiang.

I thought my experience in Pao Xiang Berkeley Klang is bad enough but the Klang Centro is the worst.

Very very regret I still give Pao Xiang a chance to proof it is a good restaurant to have a good dinner.

Will NEVER NEVER go to ANY PX BRANCH for myself and my family or my friend.

The food is still OK but the customer service at both shop is so terrible terrible terrible.

I being to Kepong Branch and the service there is GOOD.

Regret to visit PX and made my dinner such a ad experience. Rather go to any restaurant around than this PX.

I tried give my comment to the PX management through their website but the comment segment not even working.

    Regards,
    UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER
