Sakae Sushi 18th Anniversary & New Menu Launch (Cash Vouchers Giveaway!)
I was at Sakae Sushi 18th Anniversary and new menu launching ceremony a few weeks back which held at their Paradigm Mall outlet.
This year Sakae celebrates its 18th Anniversary with the launch of a brand new menu featuring more than 100 new additions that give customers more choice, exciting new flavours and better value for money.
Meticulously crafted by experienced chefs, the 100 new mouth-watering items are ranging from numerous types of sushi, sashimi to rice, noodles, bento and grilled or pan-fried specialty dishes.
Let’s have a sneak peek some of the highlights of the new offering:-
Sashimi Mori Zen (5 kinds) (RM 30.99)
The thick cut air-flown Norwegian Salmon, Yellowtail, Tuna, Butterfish and octopus are fresh and toothsome not to mention the price is wallet friendly too! My favourite is none other than the Salmon for its adequate fat layer that provides luscious creaminess.
Sakae Salad (RM 13.99)
A refreshing bowl of salad in vibrant colours that combining fresh air-flown Salmon, seasoned jellyfish, crabstick, Japanese omelette and assorted vegetables served in a choice of either wafu or goma dressing.
Fuku Set (RM28.99)
A platter of crowd’s favourite sushi combination – salmon sushi, cheesy tamago sushi, kani fumi sushi, soft shell crab maki, futo maki, kani edamame inari and chuka mekabu gunkan.
Sakae Sushi is the first and only “kaiten sushi” restaurant that adds Vitamin E into its sushi rice, the essential vitamin for great skin and a better immune system for a hearty and healthy meal.
Salmon dishes certainly a crowd-pleaser for everyone, check out Sakae’s Salmon Signature that features Salmon Sashimi, Hana Maki and Salmon Mentaiyak. In line with Sakae Sushi’s “farm to table” philosophy, we offer only delectable air-flown fresh Atlantic salmon is served for a luscious melt-in-the-mouth quality.
Another item that not to be missed are those colourful rolls and maki which included some creative and unique combination of different ingredients.
Sumo Roll (RM 15.99)
Sushi rolls layered with sea ell and mango as well as a luscious topping of avocado and Salmon roe. The presence of mango imparted a pleasant fruity taste to the overall bite, definitely my top pick among others!
Salmon Cheese Roll (RM 16.99)
Consist of Salmon, crabstick, Japanese omelette & Japanese cucumber topped off with cheese and spicy mayo.
Smoked Kamo Maki (RM 11.99)
Fried sushi rolls with Japanese cucumber and seaweed topped with smoked duck. Apart from chicken, beef and salmon, there is this brand new smoked duck series now to add a touch of tantalising enjoyment into their rolls, noodles, hot pot and more.
Spider Roll (RM 11.99)
Maki with a refreshing twist, cucumber-wrapped crispy soft shell crab and flying fish roe drizzled with mayonnaise.
A new innovation in this new menu is the use of Nanban sauce in preparing selected dishes to accentuate sumptuous new flavours. Sweet and sour in nature, this sauce makes for a flavoursome addition that local taste buds will surely welcome.
Hotate Nanban Yaki (RM 10.99 – 2pcs)
Succulent half shell scallops grilled with Nanban sauce.
Itoyoridai Katsu Nanban (RM 13.99)
Deep fried breaded threadfin bream complemented with Nanban sauce. This most probably my least favourite dish as it was hard and I hardly taste the fish.
Hotate Mentaiyaki (RM 10.99 – 2pcs)
Nothing can possibly go wrong with Mentaiko! The grilled huge half shell scallop is incredibly scrumptious with creamy and luscious cod fish roe!
For a more substantial meal, choices of rice and noodle dishes also available at Sakae Sushi included these mini rice bowl which suitable for light eaters.
Unatama Mini Donburi (RM 19.99)
A mini bowl of rice topped with premium river eel and tamago.
Chirashi Mini Donburi
Assorted sashimi on mini rice bowl.
Gyoza Ramen (RM 17.99)
Dumplings, spinach, Japanese fish cake and egg served with ramen in piping hot chicken soup base.
Sakae Kid’s Meal (RM 14.99)
As always, kids who dine in at Sakae Sushi will be delighted with the fun Kiddy Set served on cute and adorable platter.
Mr. Babycino – Citrus (RM 8.99)
Also a new addition to the beverages is this cute looking “Froggie” concoction of citrus flavoured frothed milk topped with marshmallow. Other new items included Genmaicha Latte, Matcha Coffee and Strawberry Babycino. Also do check out their new dessert selections such as Sakae Sundae, Karinto Manjyu & Ice Cream (brown sugar bun with red bean filling) and Warabi Mochi (an unique translucent mochi textured dessert)
