Thursdvys @ Taman Tun Dr Ismail, K.L
It was a fine Sunday with good weather, not too hot and slightly windy. We were loitering around TTDI area seeking for caffeine fix after our dai chow lunch. Options are aplenty in the vicinity and we randomly choose Thursdvys as our next stop with parking conveniently available right opposite the shop.
Without expect anything I pushed the door in and what greeted us was an tastefully designed space filled with chatters of the crowd and soft music played at background.
The first thing struck my attention was these equipments on the communal table beside the ordering counter. These equipments were just for display purpose only as I didn’t see the barista use them throughout my session.
Checked out the place, I found sleekness and modernity that exudes plenty of characters. A mixtures of raw cement and black wall complemented with black metal shelves and furniture.
The cafe was packed to the brim on our visit and the only seat available was this corner with cushioned cemented seat and a small coffee table. Definitely not an ideal seat for dining but fine for us as we were there for a cuppa and dessert only.
The outdoor seats.
One of the seat that appears frequently in social media for its outstanding colour.
Some quirky and odd designed items and ornament on display and sales.
Cappuccino 9oz (RM 12.00)
Decent cup of cappuccino, it tasted good on the palate.
Orange Juice (RM 6.00)
Cheesecake from Mars (RM 12.00)
A big slice of cheesecake! The combination of creamy and lusciously rich body with buttery crumble base indeed a very sinful indulgence. The drizzles of salted caramel and Mars chocolate cubes certainly a delightful addition to the overall cake. It won heart of hubby too who normally doesn’t fancy dessert.
Verdict: For a non-coffee drinker like myself, one of the important criteria for cafe hopping is the place must have some food or desserts that can intrigue my interest. Their Cheesecake from Mars was nonetheless very good indeed but hopefully there will be more savory offers in the future to lure me for a revisit.
