Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson
I can smell Christmas already!
That’s a cue for us to plan for holiday, be it a short getaway or a long adventurous journey. Thanks to Mr. Trump, I believe a short trip to a sanctuary away from the hustle bustle of city life is in order.
I always like the saying of “Don’t judge a book by its cover” as I truly experienced this moment when I thought of Port Dickson.
Port Dickson, once a glorious tourist destination, is shunned by many KLites due to the perception of dirty beaches and polluted sea. But my view changed completely when I checked into Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson two weeks ago for a weekend getaway.

Nestled along Pasir Panjang beach and overlooking the Straits of Malacca, Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson is only one hour plus drive from Kuala Lumpur. Being cited as the largest water homes development in the world, the water villas at Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson stretches out to more than a kilometer from the beach to the furthest view at the sea resembling the Hibiscus flower. Lexis Hibiscus is also home to a 400-feet water fountain and it is the tallest water fountain in Malaysia. The resort is like a scenic launch pad of Port Dickson and it is truly a reflection of creativity, innovative and aesthetic flair.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson also the proud record holder of Guinness World Records for achieving “The most swimming pools in a resort” and “The most overwater villas in single resort”.

Lobby @ Tower Block
Parking is ample right in front of the Tower Block as well as the multi-level parking in the building itself. The lobby is extremely spacious with high ceiling and furnished with plenty of comfortable seats for the guests. For guests who booked Executive Pool Villa, Premium Pool Villa and Sky Pool Villa can proceed with the check in/out process here.

Buggy Service
Operated 24 hours, the shuttle buggy service will get you to various designated points along the hibiscus, from the lobby at Tower Block to the tip of the stigma.

Water villas built on the sea with contemporary designs by award-winning architects.

Fishing activity is prohibited at Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson.
We took the buggy service to the Lighthouse club which is situated at the middle of the hibiscus petal. This glass-clad circular building is catered to guests staying at Panorama Pool Villa and the suites.

Check in was swift and pleasure and we had light refreshments while waiting for the buggy service to our room (*excited). Also completed with a lot of comfy sofa seats, guests can have a drink and there are also newspapers and magazines for one’s reading pleasure.

Love the colour combination of mint and white of the villas, a perfect photo spot!

We were greeted by fresh fruits and light snacks placed on the cabinet once we stepped into our Sea View Panorama Pool Villa. There are mini bar and tea and coffee making facilities in the cabinet as well.

Panorama view of part of our 926 sq ft room. Located at the stigma of the hibiscus, rooms under this category are not exposed to the walkways and do not have other units facing its pool directly. Definitely ideal for those who prefer total privacy.

The room adopted a warm, inviting, contemporary style with spacious earth toned interior and colourful contrasting details. Equipped with 2 King size beds which is divine with plush mattress, fine cotton sheets, cozy duvet and soft pillows. Separating the room and the balcony is a floor-to-ceiling sliding window that allows sufficient of sunlight to bask the room. It also provide a majestic view of waterfront outside.

Working desk

The LCD TV brilliantly camouflaged in the dark glass mirror.

Our room is luxuriously appointed with a decadent spacious marble-clad bathroom. I love the his & her sinks where hubby gets his own corner and I get my own to clutter up with my facial stuff. Both water closet and bath area are separated. The glass shower room is fitted with a beautiful bathtub, rain shower as well as a usual handshower.
Notice the glass panel on the floor? One can view the marine life below if the water is clear but unfortunately we didn’t see any due to the downpour the night before 🙁

Standard toiletries, bathrobes, in-room safe, iron and board, hair dryer, scale and slippers are provided too. I usually don’t like to use hotel’s bathtub because there are always dirty stains on it. I had a soothing bubble bath without worry about the cleanliness because everything here at Lexis Hibiscus is well maintained.

The decorative vintage Chinese teapot set.

Mosquito repellent – We only found this when we getting ready to check out but we had a good night’s rest without any insect disturbance. ^__^
Other facilities available in the room are WIFI, radio and alarm clock.

Here come the highlight of the rooms under all categories at Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson – the private dip pool at balcony. Have a dip anytime and accompanied by the magnificent sea view and soothing lapping of waves, I couldn’t ask for more.

There are also steam room, coffee tables and lounge chairs at the balcony.

Pool time! So much fun!

Another special features of the resort, the unique and eye catching modern chandeliers! I just can’t stop admiring these sparkling beauties 😛

We left Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson with a heavy heart that afternoon. It is a wonderful experience that we wish we never had to leave. Bye, till we meet again~
Stay tune for next post of my dining experience at the resort!
Verdict: A short break at the resort is a great way to recharge the batteries and get away from the busy life for a few days. The room rate might be on the higher side but the rest-assured, the resort provides an unparalleled level of luxury and opulence experience to the guests. Vacation with an added measure of indulgence and high-living definitely one of the way to reward yourself for a whole year of hard work.

Wow! This hotel is very beautiful with world class standards. It is truly very comfortable and worth the prices. Unlike that one at Sepang Gold Coast, this is superb. I like the way they made the unique Chandelier too, like heavens. Thank you for sharing where I should go for a short getaway.
“Unlike that one at Sepang Gold Coast”, means no good? LOL
Hopefully you can as enjoy as me if you u really make it to this place!
The room here looks really nice! Hope to go to PD again soon with my kids too. 🙂
Hopefully you and your family can as enjoy as me if you u really make it to this place!
Haven’t been to PD for a long time. Last I was there was when I was a little girl! This hotel is worth checking out. Very happening!
Maybe a short weekend getaway date with hubby?
Wow, what a complete review of the place!
Been to Grand Lexis PD before, kinda like it also.
I need a vacation so badly, without my kids I mean, hehehee :p
This place is suitable for family getaway, but if you want 二人世界with your hubby also can lah, hehe 😛
I think the key selling point is the private dipping pool…that’s a lot of maintenance for the hotel to do! 😉
Yes, the private pool definitely the main attraction! We didn’t go to the public pool at all and the cleanliness of our private pool was well maintained.

The room looks so luxury! And there’s other things to do as well. Love the private dipping pool too! I will consider this place for my weekend trip
Everything looks so gorgeous. I don’t think we’ll be able to spend lots of time in the room as my boys will either be in the pool or all around the places pestering us to rent bicycles, segway, yoyo car and even the helicopter ride!
