Adeline Villa & Resthouse @ Gopeng
This was my company’s first company trip since pendemic (the last trip was in 2019, to Bandung).
Adeline Villa & Resthouse in Gopeng, Perak was the venue chosen by my boss, which he had been a couple of times, for their food. ◔_◔ But after my 3 days 2 nights stay, I can totally understand that why he highlighted and sang the praises of the food at Adeline Villa when he introduced this place to us.
Nestled amongst the rainforest of Gopeng, Adeline Villa is a full-service retreat that offers a varied range of accommodation as well as all meals during your stay. Secluded but surrounded by a host of local activities and sights, Adeline Villa is the perfect base to unwind and explore.
One need to walk up this rocky slope to reach all the accommodation and some of the roads in the compound are rocky and with uneven road surface, which might cause inconvenience for guest with mobility issues.
There are varied sizes of chalets sit on different sections of the hilly terrain to accommodate couples, groups and even large families. All the lodges are built to embrace the natural environment and designed with aboriginal elements.
This is my multi-sharing room, features a queen-sized mattress and three single sized mattresses, equipped with ceiling fan and air-conditioner. The ensuite bathroom comes with water heater, shower gel and shampoo. Towels are provided also but only change upon request. It is a simple room, the furnishing is a bit dated but comfortable for a good night rest and cleanliness was in acceptable level. As expected in such natural surroundings, there are mosquitoes (at the balcony), so mosquito coils are provided as well.
The parking area and meeting point for all activities.
The reception counter and the map of the Adeline Villa.
The old Gopeng pipelines as part of the decoration in Adeline Villa.
When was the last time you connected with nature? Adeline Villa is a good place to get up close with mother nature. Surrounded by a green carpet of towering trees and lush greenery, a serene spot with birds chirping and frogs croaking, this is one of the perfect escape from the bustling city life.
The main dining hall.
Adeline Villa perhaps the only retreat that requires the guests to wash their dishes after every meal. (^○^)
Apart from the main restaurant above, there are another two cafes offer simple beverages (included alcohol such as beers and wines), which are open until midnight.
The swimming pool area with loungers and hammocks.
Other facilities in Adeline Villa – Ping Pong court, trampoline and air conditioned multi purpose hall. Adeline Villa also offers a good selection of recreational activities (with additional charges) such as white water rafting, wet abseiling, caving (Gua Tempurung) and jungle trekking.
Verdict: Adeline Villa & Resthouse indeed an ideal place to getaway from the hustle and bustle of living in the cities. I’ll be sharing their food on the next post which I think it definitely deserves its own post. Stay tune!

Looks like a great place for some R&R
KY, whether you want a pure relax trip, do nothing in the retreat or go for activities available here, this place can fulfill your requirements. 🙂
The place looks a bit dated + washing own dishes, mosquitoes, hot sun, no air-conditioning, etc (sorry) it’s not my ideas of a relaxing vacation…lol (but I know some people do enjoy this back-to-the-nature type of holiday). P/S: Those villas with clothes hanging/drying are actually vacationers?
Kris, the room condition might be a bit dated just like what you say but if for those who like to join activities in daytime, the room is basically just for rest at night, so it’s acceptable lah, hehe. By the way, the room is air-conditioned. 😛
I like what I see because I am quite partial to rustic nature settings like this. But no opportunity to go lah. My partner is not really into this kind of getaway. I am looking forward to your next post about the food because I am curious what sort of food they serve.
PH, sometimes it’s go to back to nature and have a few days which we can put down our phone and works and enjoy the connection with mother nature.
