Adeline Villa & Resthouse @ Gopeng – It’s All About Food!

If you check out the Google reviews of Adeline Villa & Resthouse, the most evaluated aspect is the food served in that place. Like what I mentioned in my previous post, meals provided at Adeline Villa has been built up a stellar reputation among the guests and become a magnet to attract return customers, like my boss. (◕‿◕)

3 meals are provided in buffet style for guests who purchase package – breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Good morning and bon appétit! Kick started our day with hearty and delicious breakfast, included freshly made Roti Canai, Chee Cheong Fun, porridge with assorted condiments, as well as the usual spread such as Nasi Lemak, fried noodles, half boiled eggs and toasts.

The owner and founder, Madam Adeline Kuo (a very friendly and chatty lady) and the kitchen team make the effort to prepare everything from scratch including the dipping sauce. The lunch and dinner were scrumptious spread of Malay and Chinese dishes (Halal) and they were really shouted quality and wholesomeness for a basic lodge in the forest. The only gripe was my stomach space is too limited to try them all. ( >︹<)

Apart from the the above dishes that go well with rice (which is much needed especially after an exciting activity), there were a few dishes that absolutely astonished me in terms of flavour, like the Asam Laksa on the first night and Prawn Mee (Penang Hokkien Mee) for the next day dinner. The arrow head and lotus root soup boiled on charcoal stove and fresh from the wok salt baked chicken, if these aren’t impressive, I don’t know what are.

It was a BBQ dinner on second night, the guests were served with barbequed chicken wings, satay, Lok Lok, Nasi Kerabu and good selection of seafood dishes.

The dessert spread was just as good if not better. We had the usual cakes, local kuih, jellies, pudding and the more exciting homemade Tau Foo Fah (just a small bucket, you need to be fast to get a bowl! LOL), Lin Chee Kang, Bubur Cha Cha and Apom Balik.

Verdict: The food provided was definitely exceed my expectation and I was (I believe all members in our group too) largely contended with every meal at here. I heard that even guests from other nearby resorts also came for their meal, not to mention visitors that purposely travel to Adeline Villa simply just to savour their food.

  • The food gets my thumbs up from your photos and positive review. I didn’t expect the spread to have so much variety. Definitely worth it lah!

  • I was just about to say that’s a wide spread with quite a lot in terms of quantity and wondered if the inhouse guests were sufficient (in numbers) to eat all that food…before I reached the bottom and read that non-staying guests also come here for the food…lol. The food does look very tasty. P/S: Do you have to wash your own dishes here (like what was mentioned in your previous post)? >.<
