Chong Long Gong Temple 崇龙宫 & Si Hai Long Wang Temple 四海龙王大伯公庙 @ Batu Bahat, Johor
There are more than 400 Chinese temples in Batu Pahat due to the large Chinese population n this town. Many of them are popular tourist attractions included 龍工業城濟癲廟, Jian Nan Si Temple 建南寺, Goh Hong Cheng Sern 五方正神十八罗汉庙, Pu Tuo Jing Si Temple 普陀淨寺, Tua Pek Gong Temple 福伯壇大伯公, as well as Chong Long Gong Temple 崇龙宫 & Si Hai Long Wang Temple 四海龙王大伯公庙 that I visited during my Batu Pahat trip.
Chong Long Gong Temple 崇龙宫 is located in Kampung Segenting, a fishing village in Minyak Beku which is setting by the The Straits of Malacca.
The temple is famous for the fish touching activity which according to local belief, for those who are able to touch the humongous Arapaima Fish, it can bring good fortune (for example strike jackpot). \(^◇^)/
The temple is dedicated to several deities such as Dragon Sea Emperor (海龙王), De Zheng God (福德正神) or Tua Pek Kong (大伯公), The Marshal of Central Altar (中坛元帅) , and God of Fortune (财神爷).
In the gold ingot tunnel (I named it myself), haha!
If you’re experiencing bad luck, try to walk under this bridge which is believed to be able to change your luck. d( ̄◇ ̄)b

Our next destination was Si Hai Long Wang Temple 四海龙王大伯公庙, which worship a few deities as well. There are 月老 (God of Marriage), 城隍 Cheng Hwang (The City God) and 南海观音 Nan Hai Guan Yin (Goddess of Mercy).
We washed our car plate with water from this 龙泉井 Long Quan Well. (≧ε≦)
The worshippers released the offering (in terms of paper lotus candle) to the river.

Very scenic and colorful! So did you manage to touch the fish? If you did, then hope that you faster go and buy lottery ticket hah..hah… I have visited temples in Penang. Maybe one day got chance to visit temples at other locations. I find it very interesting looking at the artefacts and taking in the sights though my extreme Christian relative will frown upon it. To me there is nothing wrong with visiting temples or other places of worship.
PH, yeah, those Chinese temples always so colourful and in vibrant tone, simply very celebratory. I’m a non religious so I have no problem to visit places of worship for different religions, and I think that sight-seeing purpose shouldn’t be mixed up with the religious belief.
Love those fish, arapaima gigas!
KY, are they edible fish?
You’ve already got your Prince Charming….no need to kiss/touch the frog…wuahahahaha! 😀
Kris, that frog statue is for wealth lah, haha!
