Restaurant Yoke Heng @ Seri Kembangan

After our visit at Farm In The City we had our late lunch at Restaurant Yoke Heng which is one of the most recommended eatery within the vicinity. Armed with GPS, we reached our destination effortlessly 🙂

Restaurant Yoke Heng ~ There are media reviews being displayed on the walls and these definitely a strong proof of their popularity and a guarantee of good food ahead? Let’s check it out!

Occupied 2 shops with common dai chow restaurant setting; big round tables and plastic chairs. One of the shop is new and equipped with air-conditioner while another shop is quite worn down.

Claypot Loh Shu Fun

Served pipping hot in a claypot, their signature dish of claypot lou shu fun appeared in lighter colour if compare with the usual dark sauce version. The broth was thick (but thankfully not sickening starchy/gluey which really irk me) and flavorful from the minced meat, dried shrimp, mushroom and egg drops. Being not a fan of thick broth food (eg: lor mee), I must admit that I was enamored with it 😛

Pork Ribs in Foil

Recommended by the staff, we had this special pork ribs wrapped in aluminium foil. Gleaming in a deep mahogany colour, the pork rib chunks were basted with glistening sweet and sour sticky sauce which was quite appetizing.

Total bill came with RM 32.00 with a pot of Chinese tea + ice.

Verdict: Food was spot on and very affordable indeed. I don’t mind coming back for the loh shu fun if I happen to be at this area.
