Ajisen Ramen

A day before Chinese New Year Eve,  hubby had to run some errands at Sunway Giza Mall, so we also settled our lunch there. Located at one of the busiest F & B hub at PJ area, Kota Damansara; there are quite a numbers of eateries in Sunway Giza Mall too but many of them popped up then disappeared and some still stand strong, Ajisen Ramen is one of the later type.

The cute logo of Ajisen Ramen~

Ajisen Ramen, first opened in 1968 at Japan and now has more than 400 chain restaurants worldwide. With restaurants at Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Australia, Hong Kong, China, Canada, USA and throughout Japan, Ajisen Ramen is the largest ramen shop chain in Japan now.

Ocha – Cold/Hot (RM 2.50+)

Corn Ramen (RM 10.80+)

Served in a huge bowls with more than generous portion of corns, bean sprouts, seaweed and a halved hard boiled egg in cream colour broth. The Tonkotsu soup is made by simmering bones for hours which expelled its milky colour.

Chasiu Ramen (RM 13.80+)

The pork belly (chasiu) was tender but still had a good bite texture and not overly fatty.

They have 2 choices of ramen with different prices – home-made and imported (if not mistaken). We had the home-made ramen and they were thin and springy, cooked al dente. The ramen was undeniably toothsome but had to be eaten quickly to prevent them from becoming too soft.

Pan Fried Gyoza (RM 7.50+)

The gyoza was decent with nice crispy edges.

PS: Kenny’s post reminded me of my backlog ramen post 😛
