Fa-Ying by Rama V @ Paradigm Mall
I was told that Fa Ying means “Princess” in Thai or to be precise princess of King Rama IV (Princess Fa Ying) and it is also the name for a new restaurant under same management as Rama V. Located at Boulevard at Paradigm Mall, Fa-Ying adopted a trendy and cool concept with a pretty eye-catching facade.

The facade with striking wooden signboard.

Dimly lit dining area with dark wooden furniture, fashionably chic designed with a casual comfort ambiance.

Thai influence ornaments adorning the interior.

The outdoor bar counter.

Al fresco lounge area with colourful cushions.
The menu is pretty interesting consisted of Thai cuisine, Thai tapas and some fusion Western+Thai cuisine.

Complementary drinking water.

Free flow of cocktail for ladies on every Wednesday~

Lychee Longan (RM 15.00++)

Coconut (RM 10.00++)

Duck Paper Roll (RM 15.00++)
Rice paper rolls stuffed with plenty of cilantro, julienned carrots and cucumber and roasted duck meat with a Thai chili dipping.

Pamelo Salad with Prawn (RM 16.00++)
Highly stacked with generous amount of juicy pamelo, huge prawns, herbs and crushed peanuts dressed in piquant Thai dressing. Very refreshing and I felt my sense awaken with every bite!

Fettuccini with Duck Curry (RM 22.00++)
Creamy curry sauce coated evenly on the pasta, the flavors was slightly light and I would have preferred the pasta to be al dente. Recommended to finish before it get cold or it could be quite cloying.

Fettuccini with River Prawn Chu Chee (RM 32.00++)
The huge prawn definitely the “WOW” factor of this dish! The Chu Chee or Thai curry sauce was creamy, mild spicy and nutty certainly can beat your usual carbonara sauce with that distinctive Thai twist!

Angel Hair with Tom Yam Seafood (RM 24.90++)
A more than generous portion of angel hair sufficiently bathed in rich and silky luscious cream sauce accompanied with assorted seafood such as mussels, prawns and fish fillets. However the sauce was a bit lack of distinctive flavor of Tom Yam flavor but overall was still taste excellent nevertheless.

Beef Sandwich Nam Tok (RM 22.00++)
The beef sandwich was executed well too. Grilled beef, vegetables and tangy sauce in toasted ciabatta, simple combination but it was delicious & indulgent.

Cod Fish with Manow Sauce and Broccotini (RM 42.00++)

The quality of the cod fish was unquestionably top notch and cooked to perfection too. The nicely seared crust skin and the moist and flaky flesh, juicy grilled vegetables and the tangy-sweet Manow sauce, impeccable combination! Love max!

Green Curry with Rice (RM 18.00++)
Served with white rice and papaya salad as side, the creamy green curry was laden with chicken and some vegetables. Decent but nothing too outstanding.
Although the dessert selection was quite limited, we still had hard time when choosing our dessert >.<

Mango Stick Rice (RM 16.00++)
A typical Thai dessert, mediocre and I found that the price was a bit steep for that portion.

Deep Fried Mango with Vanilla Ice Cream (RM 16.00++)
Deep fried glutinous rice roll in light batter encasing mango stick/paste in the center and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I like the hot and cold contrast sensation~
Verdict: I like the relaxed atmosphere but a few of us felt quite warm that night perhaps we sat under the spotlights or the ventilation problem? Food was excellent overall but the price range is a bit on higher side.

Your blog is interesting but the fonts used are seriously strenuous to the eyes. Maybe you should stop toying with those colored fonts!
Sorry about the layout , I’m trying to search for another more suitable template for my blog, thanks for your comments anyway 🙂
I love the look of those ‘fusion’ pastas!! 😀 Creamy Curry Sauce sounds yummy!
Yes, the “fusion” pastas were interesting but will be a little cloying at the end 😛
The beef sandwich looks yummy!!! 😀
