Midori Japanese Restaurant @ Putrajaya Marriott Hotel
Explore a splendid variety of Japanese delicacies at Modori Japanese Restaurant’s The Bountiful Japanese Buffet which available on every Saturday for dinner (6.30pm to 10.00pm).

The inviting facade of Midori, beautifully adorned with paper umbrellas and ball shape lighting.

The Zen-inspired waiting area greeted us once we stepped into the restaurant.

The spacious dining area is dressed in soothing natural tones, furnished with wooden tables and comfortable chairs. The place is decorated with Japanese influenced ornaments such as framed paintings, bamboo plants and ball-shaped lighting.

There are also several private rooms as well for those who need more privacy.

Assorted appetizers and salad to whet your appetite and prep the palate for more to come.

Sashimi is cut upon request to retain the freshness of the fishes. Generously sliced into a rather thick sizes, the Salmon, Butterfish and Maguro we had that evening was exceptionally fresh and sweet.

Fresh oysters on ice.

Sushi & rolls.

Hot food station filled with assorted of mouth-watering items such as tempura, robatayaki, mushimono sukiyaki and many more.

Pick your preferred ingredients for Teppanyaki and let the chef prepare lively at the cooking station.

Hot and cold soba and udon.

Ramen was surprisingly good, I love the flavorful soup paired with springy noodles.

Each diner is entitled a glass of oyster shooter, pop the whole thing into your mouth and enjoy the burst of flavors!

My pipping hot chawanmushi was perfectly done, silky smooth and tender.

A surprise for the buffet diners at Midori – The ‘Chef’s Happy Hour’! The chefs will parade the portable cart with palate-teasing samplers for an hour and serve the food right at your table.

We had roasted beef and cheese baked slipper lobster that evening. The roasted beef was done medium rare with beautiful pinkish centre, minimal in seasoning and showcases the original meat flavor. The cheese baked slipper lobster was equally good, firm flesh topped with moreish melted cheese.

Desserts choices was quite limited though, I hope there is more Japanese desserts such as mochi, Taiyaki and Yokan.

Have some fruits definitely not a bad choice to end your meal 🙂
The Bountiful Japanese Buffet is available on every Saturday for dinner priced at RM110nett per adult and RM 67nett per child. The price includes one (1) glass of cocktail/mocktail, oyster shooter and Chef’s Happy Hour.

Ooo….I like the “Chef’s Happy Hour”! ;D And the price is quite reasonable for the spread you get.
Indeed quite affordable if compared with others Japanese buffet~
Ooo, the happy hour concept looks fun! I would definitely be looking forward to the beef and slipper lobster :)))
They will rotate the dishes for the Chef’s Happy Hour, I scare if you can get the same beef & slipper lobster when your visit 😛
RM 110 nett is quite decent. I would run up a bill more than that if I’m hungry. I’ll probably just eat the sashimi and kaki since those are the two things I love. The sashimi on rice (chirasezushi) I usually eat is around RM 50 or RM 120 for the chef’s special so one bowl is more than this buffet. Granted, they have uni, but I’ll rather have variety sometimes. The tempura prawns look legit too.
I seldom spend so much for a meal, unless some special occasions perhaps 😛
