Yen Can Cook ~ Cheese Baked King Crab Legs

Finally managed to free up some space in my freezer after I used up the King Crab that I got from HERE for today’s Cheese Baked King Crab Legs. Time to get more food to fill up my freezer again! #repeatnonstop


 

To prepare the King Crab:-


1) Pull off the shell from the body.

 

2) Remove the gills (the yellowish part) and the mouth part. I would suggest to use kitchen scissors for easier handling.

 

3) Cut out the legs. Snip between the joints to make removing easier. The body part I’ll save for another dish, so please stay tune ya.(_ε_)

 

4) Slice through the back part (lightly colored), the more pliable part of the shell and make an “opening” to expose the meat inside like the photo above.

 

Ingredients (Serve: 3-4)

1kg King Crab legs

100-120g grated Mozzarella cheese

50g salted butter, melted

4-5 cloves garlic, finely minced

1 teaspoon black pepper

Chopped parsley for garnishing (optional)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Step 1: Combine melted butter, mined garlic and black pepper in a bowl, mix well and set aside.

Step 2: Brush crab leg with butter mixture. 

Step 3: Preheat oven at 180°C. 

Step 4: Line baking tray with baking paper/aluminium foil and place crab legs (Step 2) on it. Sprinkle grated Mozzarella cheese on the crab legs. Bake at 180C for 10-12 mins or until the cheese melted and browned.

Step 5: Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve.
