Lou Sang at Tai Zi Heen, Prince Hotel & Residence
Usher in the Year of Rabbit with sumptuous Yee Sang at the new refurbished Tai Zi Heen, Prince Hotel & Residence !! Last week I was invited to sample some of the signature dish from their Chinese New Year Yee Sang Menu from the award winning Chinese Master Chef Ricky Thein & his culinary team.
A very Chinese New Year “feel” setting greeted us when we stepped into Tai Zi Heen.
Elegantly furnished with touch of traditional elements.
Salmon Yee Sang (太子鸿运七彩三文鱼捞生)
Variety of shredded vegetables and crackers + the fresh salmon slices then topped with appetizing plum sauce, one of the best Yee Sang I had!
We gave the colourful vegetables a good toss and wished for health, wealth and happiness. Lou Hei! Lou Hei!
Double Boiled Pearl Shark’s Fin with Bamboo Pith and Chinese Cabbage (竹笙菜胆珍珠翅- 金意满华堂)
A bowl of delicious & wholesome soup, awesome tasty with bursting flavors of myriad of seafood.
Extremely generous with the Pearl Shark’s fin O.O
Braised Dried Oyster with Fatt Choy, Baby Abalone, Sea Cucumber and Work Fried Greens (好市海参鲍鱼发菜 – 好市包发财)
The dried oysters were well braised, soft and the flavor infused into the beautiful gravy while the baby abalone absorbed all the flavor, thumbs up to the chef! The sea cucumber was thick and tender complimented the dish too.
Traditional Style Steamed Cod Fish (古式蒸银鳕鱼 – 恭添九长寿)
Fresh & smooth & flaky cod fish cooked with the simplest method – “steam” to bring out the freshness & the natural sweetness of the fish itself.
Stir Fried Prawns with Pumpkin Sauce served on Rice Nest (米网金瓜奶皇虾球 – 人人佳欢笑)
Lightly battered fresh & bouncy prawns then deep-fried. The pumpkin sauce was moreish & the tiny bird eye chili cuts packed a mild fiery punch too.
Double Boiled Hasma with Red Dates and Glutinous Rice Dumpling (红枣炖雪蛤汤丸 – 开心又团员)
Last but no least, a healthy & hearty dessert to end the fantastic meal.
