>Bel Pasto Italian Restaurant
>It’s another birthday celebration with my makan gang..
“Happy Birthday to Blurrberry & Chia Yee :)”
Finally the gang came to my area (Kepong) to have the gathering :P. We have choosen this Italian restaurant which we heard so many good reviews about their food especially Tiramisu.
Checkers table cloth – homey feel~~
Nice chandelier, dim light & spacious dining area but the lighting condition is not ideal for photography =.=”
Back to food~~
Calamari Rings – RM 12.20
Very miserable amount of calamari rings (about 5 or 6pcs of them ONLY), with fresh greens salad & fries. Not worth the money =.=”
Mushroom Soup – RM 6.80
Look at the”floating” mushroom slices , totally cover the soup 🙂
Pizza Quatro – RM 23.90
Combination of 4 flavors of pizzas. Love the thin crust , every bite made a satisfiying crunchy sound . The tomato puree is not that overwhelming that we can still taste the ingredients like mushroom, beef bacon & turkey ham 🙂
Sorry, I only manage to capture 2 flavors, busy eating 😛
Spaghetti Marinara with Spicy Totamo Sauce – RM 19.50
The concoction of sour & spicy sauce made this a very appetizing pasta indeed!!! Normally I don’t fancy any tomato based pasta but this one is really good that I can’t get enough of it.
Lamb Shank with Risotto – RM 25.90
Serving was quite big especially the lamb shank. The meat fall out easily from the bone but I don’t like the strong gamey taste of the lamb. The risotto was flavorful but portion too small to be shared among 5 of us. Alas, we hope we can just “ka fan” a.k.a “add rice” just like what we normally did when we had Bak Kut Teh or Tai Chow 😛
Tiramisu – RM 8.90
Serving was big for that price. I can taste the bitterness of the coffee at 1st sip but used to it after that (I’m not a coffee person at all, it makes me an insomniac *sigh*).
