Cameron Highlands Trip 2014 ~ Markets and Flower Nurseries
Oh my, I almost forgot I still have photos of my previous Cameron Highlands trip sitting in my archive that have yet blog about 😛 OK, here’s a very brief and photos laden post (aka LAZY post lol ^__*).
The Night Market is a very popular shopping attraction among visitors that occurs every Friday and Saturday in Brinchang town, starting from early evening till late night. It is stretching out from the Star Recency Apartment, occupying both sides of the road and it’s just opposite Police Quarters which is quite easy to be located. Parking can be quite horrendous as there are plenty of eateries nearby (eg: our dinner before pasar malam shopping was 5 minutes walk distance only.)
Stall vendors at Brinchang pasar malam selling a range of native products of Cameron Highlands such as vegetables, fruit, tea, ornamental plants and decorative items.
These “guave appales” have really artificial colour which I was skeptical to try them out. =.=”
One of the most featured product in Cameron Highlands, the strawberries are sold in very cheap price of RM 10.00 or RM 20.00 per big tray (2nd photo) depends on the size of the strawberries.
Enjoy the pipping hot fried sweet potato balls in cooling weather definitely a pleasure and satisfying experience.
Others food and snacks available which certainly can satiate the hunger soul of food lovers.
100% pure strawberry juice, yum yum~
Honey comb, one of my favourite which is naturally sweet with chewy texture although it was not cheap though. (RM 5.00 for a small chunk)
All kind of CM related key chains, fridge magnets, soft toys, stationery and decoration items.
The next morning before we heading back to KL, we also visit Kea Farm located near Copthorne Hotel (formerly Equatorial Resort).
Traders and farmers sell the best of their crops and goods here from morning till evening.
A delightful sight of colourful vegetables and fresh produces from CM.
Beautiful flowers
Honey products
Souveniers
Food choices is not as many as pasar malam.
Next stop was Cactus Point.
The are parking spaces at the entrance.
Occupy a huge space, Cactus Point not only exhibit assorted species of cactus but also wide variety of flowers in vibrants colours. I was enthralled by the sight of rows and rows of pretty flowers and snaps tons of photos!
Undoubtedly a heaven for garden lover like me but unfortunately only 1 out of 3 plants that I bought here survived until now. ~>_<~
Vast array of cactus in different species, shapes and colours!
