Before our dinner served, the restaurant’s Tea Master performing the stunning tea pouring which amazed every guest especially the first timer. Although it was not my first time watching his performance but I’m still admired his precise angle and accuracy when pouring the tea.

Wok Fried Cod Fish with Spicy Rice Bubbles

IMG_3037

The Cod Fish was drenched in an addictive spicy black bean sauce associated with peppercorn, diced bell peppers and onions which added a pleasant crunchy twist. Also featured in the dish was pieces of rice bubble, a combination that we never thought of.

A great play on textures; from the soft Cod Fish and the crispy rice bubble accompanied by the glorious spicy sauce.

Deep Fried Prawns with Spicy Sichuan Peppercorns & Butter Prawns with Oats

The prawn dish was done dual way with different sauces.

The de-shelled prawns was deep fried to a golden finish then coated with Si Chuan peppercorn flakes. The aroma was tantalizing and the flavors was so electrifying, I love the numbing sensation brought out by the peppercorn, very exciting indeed!

The other prawns were equally good too. Coasted with creamy & luscious sauce topped with crispy oats.

Braised Dry Oyster, Sea Cucumber & Black Mushroom with Black Moss Vegetable

A must-have item on any Chinese New Year prosperity menu, consisted of precious and hearty ingredients of dried oyster, see cucumber, mushroom, black moss and broccoli dressed in a light gravy.
