Salmon Yee Sang (三文鱼生)
No Chinese New Year menu is complete without Yee Sang, the yee sang at Ti Chen consists of a assorted crunchy strips, pickled vegetables, succulent cuts of salmon and a refreshing plum sauce dressing.
Priced at RM 38.00++ per portion onwards, enjoy the Yee Sang offerings such as Salmon, Seaweed, Jelly Fish and Abalone Yee Sang from 1st to 14th February 2014 for both dine-in and takeaway.
Homemade Roasted Pei Pa Duck (帝城叉烧枇杷鸭)
Lying on a pool of sweet sauce, the amber hued duck with crispy skin was delectable. The meat was succulent and tenderly soft with natural gamey sweetness of the duck, I think I can simply polish off half bird by myself 😛
Steamed River Patin Fish with Green Ginger Sauce (特色青姜茸蒸河八丁鱼)
Topped with copious of green ginger sauce, the River Patin Fish was extremely fresh without any muddy taste that commonly found in river fishes. The flesh was so tender which nearly melt in my mouth and the house made ginger sauce had a tinge of spiciness which was not overpowering but managed to elevated the natural sweetness of the fish.
Wok Fried Prawns with Pumpkin Butter Sauce (金瓜酱炒鲜虾)
This prawn dish definitely will not burden your body as a healthier pumpkin sauce was used instead of the cholesterol laden salted egg yolk. (Although both do look alike :P)
Sea Bird’s Nest with Chilled Aloe Vera in Longan Syrup (芦荟海燕窝龙眼汤水)
Eucheuma Cottonii aka Sea Bird’s Nest is a type of coral grass. It is rich in enzyme nutrients, minerals, calcium, iron, multitude fibers and jelly form proteins. It is especially good for skin care, vegetarian diet and daily fiber diet intake.
Last but no least, a refreshing chilled dessert to ended our meal. I like the crunchy texture of the sea bird’s nest 🙂
The restaurant with black and red theme which exudes an oriental charm and the hanging red lanterns definitely maximize the festive season feel.
