Dao Kia @ One Utama
Have you done with your Christmas shopping or still busy running between malls and malls? Have a break dude, let your weary legs have a rest after the tiring “retail therapy” session 🙂
I was at 1 Utama a few weeks ago and searched for a place for afternoon tea after shopping for a few hours. Loitering around at LG Promenade that houses more than 20 eateries included bakeries, snack kiosks and restaurant of assorted cuisine. Hubby was in mood for something cooling so we opted to have pudding and some refreshment soy bean beverages at Dao Kia!
A small kiosk with very limited seats available.
The rows of soy puddings in various of flavors being displayed in the glass cabinet were enticing.
We had their signature soy pudding in original, creamy almond and Japanese green tea flavor.
RM 3.30 for Original Soy & RM 3.60 for Creamy Almond, Japanese Green Tea & Coconut Bliss.
The texture of the pudding was undeniable silky smooth and the flavor was very intense. I was told that all ingredients used are in good quality sourced locally and also from Singapore.
We also had their soy smoothies in Japanese green tea flavor @ RM 4.80 . Very refreshing and great thirst quencher indeed!
Glutinous Rice Balls in Hot Soy Milk (RM 5.90)
As a avid fan of tong yun, sure I don’t wanna miss to have this delicious treats which come in 3 flavours – Azuki Red Bean, Molten Peanut and Toasty Black Sesame. The filling of the glutinous rice ball was aplenty, I can’t resist the oozing goodness, how about you? Winter Solstice is just around the corner, maybe this can to cure your homesick for those who’s not able to go back hometown?
Steamed Bun (RM 1.60)
Felt greedy that day, we also shared a pipping hot steamed fragrant lotus bun which available too with azuki red bean & pandan kaya filling. This was only run-of-the-mill though in my books.
Some props were placed on every table and we didn’t miss the chance to cam-whore with them!
