Thanks for the invitation from Vanity Trove Malaysia, I’ve attended a workshop organized by DECLÉOR at one of their outlet at Publika.
About DECLÉOR
DECLÉOR is the world’s largest cosmetic Aromatherapy brand started 35 years ago and was known as CLEOR (The Clé en Or or Golden Key that opens the Temple of Beauty). Its philosophy was “Be more than skin-deep” and each initiative was designed for the wellbeing of the body, the skin and the spirit, an astonishingly holistic and cutting-edge approach.
And that was in 1974!
This fabulous adventure was initiated by a passionate and bold team consisting of a beautician, a doctor, a shiatsu teacher and a fantastic aromatherapist and physiotherapist, the latter being a pioneer in her field.Their joint knowledge, their holistic approach to the body and their expertise in energy points prompted them to create fabulous plant-based treatments practiced in beauty salons.
They initiated a range of novel treatments associated with a line of unique products that were 100% pure, 100% natural, and without colorants or preservatives. Known as AROMESSENCE™, these ultra-active daily serums applied before a daily moisturiser were an immediate success. They were quickly joined by innovative Face, Body, Sun and For Men products available in the form of delicately textured serums, balms and creams.
In the 1990s the benefits of Aromatherapy were recognised internationally and this reinforced the status of the AROMESSENCE™ range as flagship products for the brand. The popularity of professional treatments continued to grow rapidly in a network of beauty salons & flourishing spas. Treatments & Skincare Products continue to be the principal 2 pillars of DECLÉOR, each supporting the other and giving rise to new developments.
In 2000, the adventure broadened with the arrival of the Shiseido Group which allowed DECLÉOR to develop its research and development base and to benefit from new sales markets, particularly in Asia.

The beauty resources that DECLÉOR are taken from nature, from the heart of the plant kingdom their vital systems that produce essential energies. Yet, these resources are fragile, notably in Madagascar. Since 2008, we have initiated an eco-responsible and sustainable management project that has the double aim of helping preserve the Madagascar ecosystem and improving the living conditions of local populations.
The workshop was conducted by Vernice Soo, the DECLÉOR Malaysia beauty trainer.

My Verdict: Effectively remove my waterproof mascara without irritating my eyes or blur my vision.
DECLÉOR Essential Cleansing Milk
This light and silky emulsion with Neroli Essential Oil (used in Hydra Floral) promotes hydration. It softens and soothes thanks to Sweet Almond Oil. Its fresh and sparkling fragrance awakens the senses.
Gently massage the milk over the eyes and neck and then the rest of the face using light circular movements.

DECLÉOR Essential Toning Lotion
With Neroli Essential Oil completes make-up removal, removes any traces of the milk and prevents the skin from drying out.
DECLÉOR ultra Moisturising & Plumping Expert Mask
Enhanced with Hyaluronic Acid, this mask is a real moisturising bath for even the most dehydrated skin. Based on the professional expertise of DECLÉOR Laboratories, this treatment brings together all its know-how:
1. Intense hydration thanks to powerful plant active ingredients:
– intensely moisturises the skin (Extract of Wild Pansy),
– helps to combat cutaneous dehydration (Samphire Extract),
– instantly “plumps up” and visibly smooths fine dehydration lines (Hyaluronic Acid of natural origin).
2. A unique texture: this cream mask transforms into a thin oil under the action of the massage, and it is absorbed into the skin to refresh it.
3. A targeted application technique based on the brand’s salon expertise: a combination of circular movements to revive the skin and help to boost the micro-circulation, leaving the skin stimulated and ready to receive the benefits of this expert mask.
Once or twice a week, apply a thin layer to a cleansed face including the eye area. Then massage with upward circular movements until the cream turns into oil. Leave to work for 10 minutes and remove any excess.
My verdict: Most probably the most interesting mask I’ve ever use however it took quite a long time for me (merely 5 minutes till my cheek was warm and slight reddish) to massage the cream turns into oil. I also don’t like the oil keep dripping when we leave it on our face 🙁
DECLÉOR Aromessence™ Neroli
This serum of Neroli, Sandalwood, Petitgrain, Sage, Parsley and Juniper Berry Essential Oils, with a fine and silky texture, is specially formulated for the care of skin exposed to daily stress.
A 100% pure and natural concentrate, it softens and helps to relax the skin, restores the complexion’s natural radiance.
In the morning, before your daily moisturiser, warm 2 drops of AROMESSENCE ™ NEROLI in the palms of your hands and apply to your cleansed face and neck, by massaging gently. Then apply gentle but firm pressure to the key facial energy points.
My Verdict: The scent was light with hints of spice, pretty soothing and comfy.
DECLÉOR 24HR Mpisture Activator Light Cream
1/ 24hr hydration
– helps to draw water by encouraging hyaluronic acid* synthesis to plump up the skin (Wild Pansy
Extract)
– improves the circulation of water by increasing the synthesis of aquaporins*, real cell irrigation channels, for optimal hydration (Wild Pansy Extract),
– encourages water binding on the surface of the skin to prevent dehydration (Samphire Extract).
2/ 24hr multi-protection
– protects against pollution* and free radicals* (Moringa Oleifera Microproteins and Sunflower
Extract),
– prevents internal imbalances of the epidermis.
My Verdict: Although in cream form but it didn’t leave a “heavy” feel on my skin and I felt my skin was more hydrated.
DECLÉOR BB Cream 24HR Moisture Activator
This light and ultra-fresh BB cream refines the skin with 5 benefits in 1:
1. Moisturises for 24hr (Wild Pansy and Samphire Extracts)
2. Illuminates and evens out the complexion (Mineral Pigments)
3. Refines the skin texture and corrects blemishes (Grapefruit Essential Oil)
4. Protects against UVA/UVB rays (SPF 15)
5. Protects against urban pollution (Moringa Oleifera Microproteins).
My Verdict: Currently available in one shade only with very minimal coverage.

Overall: Our skin moisture level was measured before the aromatic vitual, my reading was 24.3 and after the ritual it turned out to be 25.3, not bad huh~~
We were served with light refreshment after the session.
