Kakigori
After the recent massive “face-lift” at old wing of 1-Utama, many new eateries and food kiosks had moved in to join the F & B battle, it’s very competitive I would say!Β
I was at new “old wing” couple weeks ago with J and Nikel to try out this relatively new Japanese flavored shaved ice.
Kakigori~Β Japanese word for shaved ice. The flavored ice is frozen at -25c and put through a special shaver to produce an extremely fine textured ice .
The booth in lovely baby blue theme. One can choose to take-away or dine in as there are a few bar-stool seats available here.

Green Tea
With topping of azuki beans and sunflower seeds, the green tea ice was dense in flavor and left a slightly bitter aftertaste, oh… I just love this!
Black Sesame
Black sesame always my 1st choice when come to shaved ice, Kakigori version definitely on a stellar level with very aromatic black sesame fragrance and the topping of crushed peanut, almond and nestum add an extra nutty flavor to it!
Chocolate
This definitely won’t disappoint the chocolate lovers. Fluffy chocolate shaved ice with crushed peanuts, Oreo, chocolate syrup and choco sticks.
Peanut
Creamy ~~ even myself not a fans of peanut can’tΒ resist this!
Strawberry
Served in the take-away cup in myriad colours. Some might feel skeptical to choose strawberry flavored desserts because most of them have horrible artificial taste (cough syrup >.<), but don’t worry,Β this was ok with fairly natural taste of the fruit.
Mango
Peach
Both peach & mango have natural fruity taste and paired well with the side ingredients. I especially like the sea coconut, chewy and sweet π
Lemon

Calamansi
The citrus family win my heart as they were so refreshing and the sour sensation of every spoon sent into my mouth make my tempo going on until I realize that I have to share these with others >.<Β I’ll come back and have a whole cup by myself ^__*
Milk
Most probably the least favorite of mine as the milky taste was mild.
