M Resort & Hotel @ Bukit Kiara
Tucked beside the serene greens of the Kelab Golf Perkhidmatan Awam (KGPA Golf Course), M Resort & Hotel offers an elegant escape right in Kuala Lumpur. My stay here gave me the chance to enjoy both modern comforts and a resort-style retreat, all without leaving the city.
Hubby had a 2-day meeting at M Resort & Hotel a few months ago and for sure I didn’t want to miss the chance to “participate” too, for the stay. Haha! ^ω^
The lobby at M Resort & Hotel exudes grandeur, with marble floors, high ceilings, and dramatic hanging fixtures. Yet, the various lounge areas scattered around the property made it equally inviting. I found myself drawn to the chic seating corners — from contemporary sofas under modern chandeliers to cozy outdoor-style lounges overlooking the pool area that felt almost like a private club.
Our Superior Room was thoughtfully designed with the perfect balance between sleek minimalism and warmth. The king-sized bed with its plush pillows immediately set the tone for rest and relaxation. The soft bedside lighting, neutral colour theme and floor-to ceiling curtains created a cozy yet stylish atmosphere.
There’s a small desk with small decoration of vase, modern table lamp and hanging picture— for catching up on works and clutter up with my facial stuff. I would appreciate it if there’s a mirror on the desk for ease of doing my grooming and skincare routine. There’re sufficient universal sockets & USB plug-in ports as well.
The bathroom stood out with its striking black subway tiles and marble counter. Although not the spacious I’ve seen but it was essentially equipped with a rainfall shower and basic toiletries. The circular LED touch screen smart lighting mirror added a boutique hotel flair.
The sweeping views of the golf course from the function rooms. The rolling greens, dotted with lakes and shaded by tall trees, provided a peaceful backdrop — a rare treat in the middle of the city.
One of my favorite parts of the stay was spending time outdoors. There’re water slide with eye catching art installation, jacuzzi pool, wooden loungers and white parasols. The landscaping around the pool added to the tropical resort feel, making it easy to forget you’re just minutes away from Kuala Lumpur’s bustle.
At night, the ambience transformed. The pool lit up beautifully, reflecting the warm glow of surrounding lights and making the whole area feel magical. Whether strolling around or chill out at the Hive Bar & Lounge, it was a lovely experience.
The hotel has a pretty impressive 24-hour gym room, with a view of the splendid pool area. The space is well lit and fitted with wide range of equipment. There’s even a mirrored studio with barre, perfect for yoga, or light workouts.
I was surprised by the roomy and well appointed kids’ club, which was completed with colourful ball pit with slides, TV room and kid’s rock climbing.
Verdict: Whether you’re travelling for business, a weekend getaway or a family staycation. M Resort & Hotel ticks all the right boxes. The hotel has a wonderful blend of city convenience (one of the PJ’s F&B hub – Section 17 is just nearby) and resort relaxation. We also had the hotel’s buffet lunch and the spread was extensive.
