Minced Meat with Chives and Dried Shrimp
Learn this dish from my mom simply because I like the distinctive flavor of chives and it goes well with any staple food such as rice and noodles. You can even wrap it with lettuce just like how we have our Korean BBQ meat! I got these chives from my mom’s garden, grown organically and fresh!
Ingredients
Bunch of chives, chop into 1/2cm length
300g minced pork
50g dried shrimp, soak in water to reduce the saltiness
3-4 cloves garlic, minced
Marinade: Soy sauce, pepper, sesame oil
Salt to taste
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 1: Marinade the mince pork with the marinade for a few hours.
Step 2: Stir fried the dried shrimp till cooked and fragrant. Set aside
Step 3: Heat oil in a pan then add in garlic and stir fried till fragrant.
Step 4: Add in marinaded minced pork, stir fried till 80% cooked then add in chopped chives and dried shrimp (step 2).
Step 5: Stir fried for 1-2 minutes, add salt to taste. Serve.
HAPPY COOKING!
Ooo, I love chives…..and these would go very nicely in one of those pan-fried dumplings! π
Ya, filling for dumpling!
Something like Pad Kra Pao?
Same minced meat but without the basil π
interesting recipe … i don’t usually love chives, but i’m interested to try this dish π
Many people can’t accept that ‘distinctive’ smell of chives π
