Mum’s Seafood Noodles House
After my post of home cooked style food at Anson, I knew that many of us are fond of those mom’s cooking food, so I’m going to introduce 1 more place to fix your craving ~ Mum’s Seafood Noodles House @ The Strand, Kota Damansara.
Mum’s Seafood Noodles House open a few months back at The Strand which is fairly new if compare to the more established Kota Damansara area just across the road. It’s just located a few doors away from famous nyonya food restaurant ~ The Wok. I had a pleasant dining experience here with a group of friends a few weeks ago when we dined in here, let’s see what we had~

Acar
The sour & spicy acar definitely worked as the best appetizer to whet our appetite!

Jiuhu Char (RM 10.80)
A famous nyonya dish which normally served during festival, also known as Bang Kuang Char. Julienned sweet turnips, carrots, mushrooms & dried cuttle fish stir fried with dark soy sauce and served with lettuce to wrap the ingredients, you can add some sambal for some kicks too!

Bean Paste Steamed Garoupa (Market Price)

Curry Fish Head
Fresh fish head cooked with rich coconut milk based curry. I saw a few friends of me “flooded” their rice with this mild spicy curry gravy 😛

Asam Fish
We can get more meaty fish in this if compared to the curry fish head. Pineapples, tomatoes & lady fingers also added in it, the sour & spicy gravy made us almost licked the pot clean ^^

Salted Egg Yolk Fish Head (RM 16.80)
This was indeed very moreish, the fried fish head coated with powdery salted egg yolk had gotten me really ecstatic, my favourite of that night!

Fried Roasted Pork
Burst with aroma & flavors but a tad too salty in taste if eat alone, best if eat with rice.

Stuffed Squid (RM 18.80)
Squid stuffed with minced prawns & pork braised in premium soy sauce with perfect cooking time. The squids absorbed the flavor while the texture still remain chewy (not rubbery :P)

Petai Prawns (RM 15.80)
The huge bouncy prawns disappeared in jiffy & I couldn’t get even one 🙁 maybe I should act faster & put my camera aside next time ^^)

Lor Bak (RM 9.80)
Lean pork marinated with five spice wrapped with bead curd sheet then deep fried, who can resist fried food/ Not to mention that it was tantalizing!

Mum’s Seafood Noodle (RM 13.80)
Laden bountifully with abalone slices, fish fillet, squids, prawns, bamboo clams & 珍珠鲍贝. (6 o’clock in the photo) I love the milky soup, very flavorsome~
We were stuffed that night with so many delicious food, definitely will come back for more!
