New Year Eve Set Dinner @ Bossa Nova, Parkroyal Hotel

Bossa Nova, a Brazilian restaurant nestled at Parkroyal Hotel will offer a New Year 5-Course Set Dinner on New Year Eve (31st December 2010). I am fortunate enough to savour it even before New Year Eve (-:

Appetizers bar for the Brazilian style buffet which available for dinner on Monday to Saturday.

Our dinner kicked-start with this delicately-presented appetizer

Sliced Lobster Medallion with Black Caviar served with Golden Kiwi Vinaigrette and Shiso Mix
The firm & fresh sliced lobster & the briny “pop” of every bite from the caviar definitely can wet our appetite for the next dish.

Consomme of Canard with Porcini Mushroom
Don’t let the plain looking soup fool you, this consomme (clear soup) is bursting with flavour of Porcini mushroom, a masterpiece from a experienced & skilled chef~

Strawberry Sorbet
The refreshing & sourness of the sorbet.

There are 2 choices for Main Course:

1) Three Bone Lamb Rack crusted with Herbs served with William Potato, Ratatouille and Natural Jus
My lamb rack served that night was a bit overcooked (medium done) but luckily the meat was still tender & I enjoyed the crunchiness of the herbs crust. Oh, I love that mushy William Potato too, I love everything made from potato 😛

Kind Reminder : Please inform the wait staff how you want your lamb to be done when you do the ordering.

2) Baked US Seabass served with Apple Cider Balsamic with Potato Cake and Braised Endive
A huge slab of seabass with crispy outer skin & flaky, smooth & firm meat, definitely a sign of freshness!

Mixed Berries and Creme Brulee
Last but no least, dessert time, definitely the most anticipated moment!! The not too sweet Creme Brulee was silky smooth accompanied with the sourness of the berries, both compliment each other very well!
