Reuben’s Restaurant & Bar @ Ativo Plaza, Bandar Sri Damansara
Hubby suggested to have lunch at nearby restaurant before we proceed to our next destination (which I forgot). LOL
Reuben’s Restaurant & Bar at new wing of Ativo Plaza, Bandar Sri Damansara was our choice that day. The restaurant is beautifully elegant, framed by furniture in vibrant colours and modern lighting.
The outdoor seating that overlooking the plaza’s courtyard is surrounded by pots of leafy tropical greens. The huge bar that expanded from the interior to the exterior creates a connection between both spaces.
The menu is a two pager, featuring one page each of food and beverage. Reuben’s Restaurant & Bar offers fusion Asian cuisine that imbued with innovative and playful elements. The team also curates a fun and interesting cocktail menu that makes this place worth venturing for all cocktail aficionados.
This sound lethal! Ψ(`◇´)Ψ
Cappuccino (RM13.00)
Reuben’s Smashed Burg (RM28.00)
Sandwiched in between two soft Brioche buns, the Aussie beef patty was done medium, retaining its juiciness while being tender and flavourful. The sweetness and mild acidic of the onion jam enhanced the flavour further. Relish aioli and melted cheese added creaminess and richness to the bite.
Slow Cook Brisket (RM54.00)
Slow cooked for hours in creamy tangy sauce till fork-tender and robust, the beef brisket was infused with very palate pleasing flavour. The caramelized onion worked well on cutting through the richness of the dish. There were roasted potato cubes and cherry tomatoes as well for textural contrast for the bite.
If I had to comment, it would be the fatty cut of the brisket that we aren’t really fond of.
Ganj Fries (RM22.00)
Thick cut skin-on fries with burnt herbed Parmesan that perfectly fried to a fantastic texture – crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
Verdict: Food was above average but I would have hope for more choices.

The slow cooked brisket looks appetising but I (like you) wouldn’t be too happy with a fatty cut too. Your side order of ganj fries (I think they meant ganja fries?) seems way too pricey for that small amount of fries + it’s only herbs & parmesan, not truffled fries! >.<
I think you got the ganj fries wrong. its supposed to be covered in their burnt coriander pesto.
