The Vanilla Place
Photo 1: Mini Macaron (RM 2.50)
Sink your teeth into the brittle crust & the soft and slightly chewy center, SWEET~~
Photo 2: Pavlova (RM 8.80)
My virgin try on this awesome Pavlova. Topped with fruits & berry sauce, a texture that I never come across before, you have to try it yourself to find out how it’s taste like. π
Photo 3: Tiramisu (RM 14.80 – Big)
Well balanced flavors of espresso, biscuits & mascarpone cheese.
If you have a insatiable sweet tooth like me, this is the place that you can’t miss! The Vanilla Place at Empire Shopping Gallery @ Subang! They not only serve an array of delicate & enticing looking dessert but also Western & local cuisines with very affordable price.

Lovely cozy restaurant adorned with hand paintings.

Assorted pastries, desserts & pies in display cabinet.

Mixed Berry Milk Shake (RM 9.80)

Affogato (Espresso + 1 scoop of Ice Cream) (RM 7.00)

Tea for 2 (RM 18.80)
It’s not a typo & you are not hallucinating either, the price for this High Tea Set is only RM 18.80!!! Unbelievable, right?

Mini brownies, mini macarons, mini cup cakes, scones, cookies, pie tees, mini quiches, mini pies, tomato bruschettas, tuna and tomato sandwiches served on the 2-tier rack. A pot of refillable tea is served with this set too. I’m all the girls out there will scream for this cute but elegant looking tea set. (Include me of course ^_^)

Assorted Home Made Bread with Dip (RM 9.80)
Consisted of various soft bread & pita and 2 choices of dips – mashed olive & hummus. The olive dips taste surprisingly good π

Pie Tee (RM 9.80)
Crispy golden cup with mixed vegetables filling.

Hawaiian Chicken Salad
This huge portion of colourful salad consisted of diced chicken, tomatoes, capsicums, romaine lettuce, cashew nuts with honey mustard dressing. Healthy yet delicious~

Mushroom Soup (RM 9.80)
Thick with lots of chunky mushroom bites.

Lamb Shank (RM 19.80)
Gigantic lamb shank laid on bed of mashed potato & carrot cubes. Although the meat not the fall-off-the-bone tender but it still soft & went well with the gravy.

Beef Stew (RM 18.80)
The beef was undeniable soft and the taste was mind blowing.

Poach Salmon Fillet with Saffron Sauce & Mashed Potato (RM 25.80)
The creamy mashed potato was the perfect accompaniment for the flaky Salmon fillet.
Advance order is necessary.

Spaghetti Carbonara (RM 14.80)
The al-dente spaghetti well coated with creamy sauce but a tad too dry for my liking. But the chef didn’t stingy on ingredients, there was plenty of bacon & mushroom slices!

Spaghetti Seafood Pesto (RM 14.80)
Portion & amount of seafood given definitely beyond the price that we paid. Luckily the basil flavor was not to overwhelming, or else I won’t enjoy this pasta so much.

Aglio Olio (RM 14.80)
It’s my 1st time see Aglio Olio with so many ingredients!! We got cherry tomatoes, fresh prawns & slices mushroom!
After all those mains in huge portion, our stomach was bloated BUT there is always room for desserts , hehe ^^

Apple Crumble (RM 8.80)
The slight sour sweet apple filling coupled well with the crumbly pastry. The warm & the cold scoop of ice cream rendering a interesting contrast!

Carrot Cake (RM 8.80)
I never adore cake with “firm” texture but this really change my impression. Eat with the orange marmalade & cream to give it a pleasant twist.

Cup Cakes (RM 4.50 – Standard)

Mini Cup Cakes (RM 2.50) & Mini Macaron (RM 2.50)
Verdict: A place for decent pasta & lovely dessert but without burning a hole in your pocket. The food here really shouts quality, quantity & wholesomeness!! I will definitely come back.
Hweeet….. Finally……It’s a loooooong post……
